              Hi,
I' m not sure that flex/shat coupling will be strong enough.
I think to reinforce the end of the square flex cable with strong glue Is it a good idea? Thanks

                Prop

                Hi Alfa Spirit,

your project is very impressive for me. Im going to build this cat either.

On picture above i can see very nice prop in fitted in graupner DD. As i remeber, graupners DD has outer dia. 10mm and to props seem to be perfectly aligned with DD. Octura has about 8mm hub dia. So i prefer props like yours. Where does your prop come from?

                Thanks, Cugi.

                    Ok, thanks Elvish

The aluminium propeller is a USA brand may be AMPS or something like that. No brand on the prop, only 2029

My cat project is a cheap RTB and I' m pretty sure it will rock

I will install a brass tube 4mm inside and 5mm outside, approx. 15mm long. Like this the shaft won' t move, only a small amount of play

                          Hi,

I have just modded my original TFL strut because I might be getting the dual motor set from e-bay, The problem with this is that it runs 4mm stingers and I want to use 3/16" prop's...

I turned down a piece of oil-lite brass 4mmI/D and 4.762 O/D. It's a lovely snug fit now and runs true.

I think this is the way to go if you want to use 3/16 props on any 4mm shaft.... IMO!!

Very interesting! I'm just modding a 100A mystery ESC. I sanded the FETs flat and I will glue the heat-sink on them with a thin layer of JB Weld.
