Bearings are just one of the components that may fail. The rotors themselves have been known to fly apart at those RPM's. Don't get me wrong, the Feigaos are good motors for their intended useage. I would not recommend trying it nor would I recommend others to do so.

Of course, I agree with you, and I should also say it myself, that this is a speed project, and not a personal build for me to race or play in a lake, pond. No one should try to push hardware to its limit without being aware of the consequences.
We will have all the time to discuss it on a proper thread; I don’t want to ruin Alfa Spirit’s anymore with anything that isn’t related to his build.
So you still want to go with an xpower motor? (Just because I read the thread about xpower and people seem to say that these motors give up easily)
And for the speed control, do you have any links for appliance of watercooling? I would be interested to see.

On the video this is 6S, not 8S
yes it is 6s, but my goal is to push it further :)

Hey Elvish, pm me with your email. I have pics for the water cooling.

I wasn' t sure about HOTR strut and Graupner drive dog assembly but that' s OK. I need to install a tube of brass on the shaft for a perfect assembly. [ right side of the picture ]. Propeller shaft will be very well guided.

Here is the Graupner drive dog, with this one I can put all 3/16" sized propellers on 4mm shaft and propellers with M4 threaded

What' s the best choice for washer in front of the drive dog, ball bearing washer or teflon washer?

          Thanks

            3/16" clearance is best.

May be domwilson but in France we use the metric system
That' s why the Graupner drive dog is perfect.

The clearance I mentioned is for the flex shaft "Wind up" and compression under load.
                Try 4 mm.

The flex shaft is 4 mm,
I made a mistake the Graupner drive dog is for 3/16" propellers, you' re right.

Can you tell me what kind of washer is the best ball bearing or teflon ?

I don't think we're not talking about the same thing. I was referring to this...

if you are running the square flex drive setup you dont run a 3/16 gap, you just use a teflon washer with a small amount of play

you cant use that drive the way you have it setup, the part of the shaft that takes the sqaure flex needs to be in side the strut up against the bushing, to make 3/16 props fit a 4mm shaft just use a piece of 3/16 brass tube as an adapter, dont use plastic props with a 540xl motor they will snap the blade of one side and bend your drive shaft

                          I understand what you mean.
I will install a brass tube 4mm inside and 5mm outside, approx. 15mm long. Like this the shaft won' t move, only a small amount of play

that may work, if you can run your stuffer tube all the way into the strut

One suggestion for these HiModels: watercool & change the capacitors, they are way to small for this capacity...
