Here are some updated photos. Still not done painting, i have to do the silver and the clear coat. Hopefully with some silver it will make it look less dark. I got some overspray on the deck it should sand off.

Looking good, I'm just a bit behind you on my build. No paint yet. Now is the time to think about power, I'm looking to get 25-30 mph out of mine, don't think the hull can take much more, without blowing over. Ok you FE guys what power should we use?? Larry

Larry, yours should scoot pretty well with that brushless. I think mine will go good even with the brushed.

I got the silver and the clear on. Did a test float in the bathtub to make sure it didnt leak. I hooked up the water cooling and ran the motor for a bit. It works, the motor stays cool, but there seams to be a problem with my 19t team orion motor not sure if its a mod motor or not? I picked it up used so it might be broken. When i run it the endball on the back of the motor starts to smoke and gets super hot. The motor itself doesnt get hot, neither do the brushes, i installed cooling on them also. I guess i should try a different motor, or maybe when its moving it will be fine, (not sudden bursts of power) and i was using a 2s lipo. Which shouldnt make a difference.

Well all i need to do is mount the servo, re run water lines, hook up the steering, fit and screw the hatch on and i can give her a test run.

Sorry for the dark pic, stupid camera phone. I will take some good pictures when i water test it.

well i am disappointed today. Went to a local pond to test it, it was frozen over I will take it to a bigger lake sometime this week.

took it out this morning. 23 degrees out, very chilly.

Anyways here is a pic and a short video. This thing runs WET. i used a 7 cell nimh. I think im going to need to run light weight lipos. Sorry for the crappy pics and video. Cell phone and one hand.

They do run wet, also the water tends to flow up the sides, spray rails wil help, you could also put some 3/32 or 1/8 strips along the cuine,to keep the water away from the sides of the hull

Mine is at the limits of the hull, fast in the straits, takes a lot of room to turn. Used a sv27 motor and esc, semi surface drive with flex. Shaft is tite aganst bottom of hull, strut on transom. Larry
