Well. $750 bucks later into the kid hauler for a new right rear bearing and alignment and there went my build funds out the window....its always something isn't it......may have to hold off put it to the shelf for a bit.
Certainly can understand the feedback on the similarity to the HOTR hull. More and better pics coming...its just storming outside like mad right now, coming down in buckets, ping of hail off the windows, few rumbles of thunder.
Look close, the deck of this hull has an upslope to the canopy and the downslope to the back. The HOTR is straightline if I remember. The dip in the middle of the deck between the sponsons is deeper than the HOTR. Most of all, this one is real glass, no polyester. Adds to the weight, but this thing is beefy.
This one is the first out of the mold, is gelcoated, rough though for the sample...does make it ready for paint.
These will have the standoff on all models.
The transom area is nice and much different than the HOTR and Agitator. The air scoops are a real nice addition also for a realistic touch. The mold is handbuilt, not by me, by a builder I know. Honestly I think they built off the HOTR basic design and looked to offshore race boats for added details and lines. Results are very good in my book, I am excited.
Working on the mass build details now, there are more discussions and decisions to be finalized. ALSO maybe available in larger scales reaching the 46" and up versions. But one at a time.
Thanks for the feedback...look for more pics asap.

Storm has passed...More pics. First a contrast view to see the lines of the hull. Then a bunch more pics from all angles. Hope you enjoy and I appreciate your feedback on adding this to the Skunk Works line. All the best! Scotty

How goes it Dom? Just how fast has the first generation skunk cat gone for you? Think you broke into the 60s?
Big difference from the old cat......not saying that one is being put to the graveyard....maybe updated in the future.
This one probably will come painted, much like the old version. No nuts and the belly is plenty strong and stiff as is. Check out the notch in the front of the hatch, works well. I do have hatch locks in the shop as an add on, but I would go with tape on this hull, the fit on the hatch is great and the tape will keep the line of the hull.
I am meeting with the manufacturer this week. More news to come.
Thanks!

I love my cat. Haven't run it in awhile. Just changed over to a 8XL and a Himodel 200a ESC. I'm reworking a couple of props for it. But it is a good design and I have no complaints in the 2 years I've had it. But I'm eyeing this one for it's scale looks. Can't wait to hear about colors, pricing and availability.
Thanks for making such great hulls!Government Moto:

Question to throw out there. This is a rough gelcoat finish. I can get a price break if left in this state of finish. Thoughts on the finish?
Thanks for the feedback.
