Xzess 2 does 140 kph or 86.99 mph
I mentioned to Douggie yesterday that I was taking my Xzess 2 to the lake this morning for a very special test run if the weather was good. Well the weather was good and so was the speed. 140 kph or 86.99 mph!!! That is the fastest I have ever had any of my boats go. This is the oldest boat in my fleet and one that was well know to blow over at about 60 mph. With my modifications the hull is good for 100 mph I would think. The boat seemed to take half the length of the lake to slow down enough for me to have any steering. I done 4 runs up the lake with a WOT and slower return runs. Surprisingly it is still intact and nothing was hot. Thanks to Andy for his fantastic props.
Setup...
4s Turnigy nano-tech, Hydra 240 lv, Neu 1515 0.5 Y, andym X642 = 140 kph or 86.99 mph
Sorry about the picture quality but I threw my good camera in the lake after Chucks comments about my ability to take videos

This arrived from China last week. I have hopes of breaking my 72 mph mono record (personal record) with this little bugger. It is 29 inches long and obviously a DF clone.
Sorry it is black Douggie but the guy only gave me 2 choices...
1. Black hull and Black deck
2. Black deck and Black hull
I chose the latter

This was Andy's Christmas gift for me. A 67 mm prop for my Drambuie and the wanking towel it is sitting on. I am hoping to not have to use the wanking towel but I am married so it will probably get a lot of use.

I noted that the thrilling Sydney Hobart race finished on a sour note, as a protest has been lodged......Paddy next time buy the real thing!!!....clones have their problems as does marriage within the family.
