Im considering something along the lines of HPR115
    ideas, comments ?
Back to bloody topic? How the bloody hell can I get back to topic with the torrential downpour and the bloody gale force winds that are going on outside. Bloody easy to see it is my days off. Stinking hot while I am at work and a bloody blizzard on my days off.
Maybe I will find time to send Andy that YGE esc me thinks. Andy

Go for it Wayne. A twin I hope. Custom paint job naturally. A pair of counter rotating Andym's throwing the water out the back. 2 big Neu motors making the music. Carbon fiber and the smell of epoxy.
Oh pack my bong, I am in heaven just thinking about it.

Oral defecation is high among Rc boat racers in SA when discussing FE builds.. I'll build this, we'll build that, we can all fit the same class... race day arrives and no boats.
Care factor.very close to zero !

Im starting down the Rc self gratification path.
The 6S rigger is a chest puffer, for sure. .. but as there's p'raps only 1 other same in SA.. no racing worth squat.
Looking towards the next complicated time consuming build to keep me indoors during the wintry days.

Yup, twins would be nice.. lay one on the left. lay other on the right.. and me in the middle...

I am up for it, just waiting on an esc and my 6s will be a go. As far as having a race GAS is the go, not as fast or in need of knowledge but at least I can get a race. Not a big time all official type race but a race non the less.

Andy I am getting into FE racing in Bris and am looking for gear to start a bit of racing. Gas and nitro boats just starting to get too noisey for the neighbours.

Any suggestions to make a start with.

                Cheers

Andy ?? With a name like that what ever you do will be all good!!
What type of boats do you like ? What are there plenty of to run against up there ? I know a few of the guys up that way run EA hydro, riggers and mono along with a few EB hydro, riggers and mono's.
What kind of dollars can you spend is also a valid question.
There are some real good hulls out there now days.
Mono's like the DF range, Rico and Seaducer
Hydro's like the whiplash and Insane
and Riggers like the Raptor, Zipp kits and hydro Marine are all worth a look and do not cost the earth. You can get good speed with cheaper motors like Fiegao and Leopard but the Neu is still top of the heap. But what ever you do DON'T scrimp on the ESC, just cost's more in the long run.
There are plenty of good blokes on hear to give you a hand and I am sure your club will have guys who will jump a barb wire fence to get you going.
                    Cheers

Be careful Paddy some say he builds them out match sticks! Others say he only uses the finest recycled toilet paper of French origin ! All I can say he has nice props.

Andy I would like to get into a mono or rigger to race as i have been running those already just the Noisey ones.

Hull wise i guess i will build it my self as i have done with all my current hulls.

I do like the big cats though and would love a crack at building from scratch. Throw more power in than it can handle and see what happens.

My budget is pretty good and as long as she who must be obeyed get some flowers anything is on the cards.

Set up i guess is what i am looking at first i guess. I have a .21 FF rigger I want to convert and 32" cat also. Some idea of what to run to start with I guess.

                              No, hahaha no DrW ESC.

After seeing the video I am very interested. So there is no motor, no esc, no receiver and no prop. Everything else is there I presume.
Now comes the shock. How much?
