well there is not a lot in small L & R hand props so thinking 442s, a 9xl only gives me 28,000 so would need 5s and thats to much weight, i reckon 442s spinning at 35,000 should be good.
12L will give me that on 3s keeping motor and battery weight down, these hulls do low 50s easy with one 8xl
so 2 L size should move it well, but still may go xls yet
i will do what i can to a set of 442s then see andy about doing me a set with some work on them

there is not a lot of room in these, one i have seen had twin 10xls on 6s
motor/esc,s in sponsons. 2 x 3s on tunnel, batteries were series-ed then ran both motors as there is not enough room for big batts on tunnel floor

Ozzie 3s is not a bad way to go. I know I am talking about a rigger but my little 3s1p rigger is doing 101 kph or 63 mph on one of Andys X642's. 3s is a cheaper battery too. I tested a 3s Hyperion battery in it this morning and I was surprised at how fast it was with a cold battery. I am going back in the morning with no turn fin and a couple of other tricks and see if I can break my 101 kph personal record. I am loving 3s. I must try the 2s that Chuck sent me and see what speed I can get with that.

yea i am still debating 3 or 4s and xl verses L
          here is some pics
          first pic is 540xl with 2 x2s 5000 packs in sponsons,so i can fit a 4s in there
with esc,s on tunnel.allows packs to go forward but not back.
second pic is packs on tunnel, smaller esc,s would go in sponson.
allows packs to go further back but not forward.

HOTR has these stingers $20 u.s (first pic)
i could drill them out and make a bush for 3/16 shaft.
looking at making motor mounts like this out of alloy angle (third pic)
done a rough cut out of stinger mounting plate size, shows how it would fit (second pic)

A 10xl on 4s can handle 447/3 in my Wild Thing, in a twin I would go with C/R x447 detounged and back cut, then pitch them up as required. Speeds will be awesome and such a large thrust cone it will be hard to beat off the corners and wheel stand on demand.

do you think the 10xl,s with 447s draw less amps than 8xls with 442s
was worried with bigger props and prop torque but being a twin shouldnt matter
not to worried about corners but want solid 60 mph runs

Ozzie, the boat has to turn, unless you can only pull the trigger.

How about a SV27 strut? Cheap, effective and bushes readily available. Probably the only good thing to come from a SV !!
A 10 xl with well prepped 447/2 would be around the 80-100 amp I think, and with two props launching that little hull would more than likely be less.

Not if he runs up the other end of the pond and picks it up and turn it around
