Paddy that looks quick !! What props did you try and how were the temps ? Very short runs, only looked to just get going and you pulled the pin mate, toughen up cobber and let her rip.

      Andy,
It went quickest on the X642 with the works. I tried an M545 but that was slower and naturally more heat.
You are correct about the longer runs. I was being very careful not to cook anything. The setup is as follows...
      3s Zippy, Neu 1515 0.5Y, Hydra 240, X642.
Several things to be done yet that will add more speed so I am very happy with the results so far.

Here is the last video of the day that was not with the others as I was still uploading it....

That is a scream. I love the look of the disgusted collie. Where do you guys dig up these shots of me. I think I know...... the EX !!!

Now, back to serious issues I am very hurt that there have not been more replies to my plea for assistance on the Insane hydro power/drivetrain questions. It is the same length as the UL-1.

Come on guys give the Scotsman a hand here. I gave him a good starting point to a fun boat but obviously what I think is fun is not the Scotsman's cup of tea. Andy, ozzie, Simon or any of you guys from South of the equator should be able to give Douggie some good ideas.
I know Andy is busy building a gas hydro at the moment and ozzie put wheels on his thrill in life. I guess Simon is busy watering his Balsa plantation but guys the Scotsman needs some ideas here or he could end up listening to those guys in California (PC and Ub). There would be videos of him at that lake they call Legg if that happened. I had hoped for video of him at Broke Back Pond.

your thoughts on these vids please gents (2nd time running this boat)

                    strut neutral, cog 30%

same setup, 1 degree negative in strut

i think the battery can be moved forward?
both runs with the m447 you gave me andy, average amps = 135 with spikes of 170. very nice prop thanks again mate. they weren't long runs, but everything came back cool.

Looks like a competitive set up Mat, try the cog 32-33 or 2 deg on strut. Can you adjust your srtut/stinger up and down ? Those mods work great on those props hey! You just need very small adjustments to get rid of the bounce and have it straight lining the woops so to speak. Nearly there mate

Dougie if you are going to put a UL1 power set up in the Insane hull then all you will have is a UL1 with a better quality hull !!!( STUPID IDEA YOU DUMB SCOTT'S MAN ) I am sure that hull will handle much more power than that if the larger insane hulls are any thing to go by.

yeah, nearly there. just need more time to test. anyhow it's all fun.
the stinger is adjustable up or down, and as for the prop, i don't think i've heard my motor sing like that with any others. great work and thanks again

Talking of fast tug boats Chuck, your gift and the batteries arrived safely. That beautiful prop has not been tested yet but I will soon do that on my days off. Pictures of the prop for all to see will follow as soon as I get time.
                              Thanks very much my friend.

Andy, you pervert. I said UL-1 power for fun and WHAT WOULD YOU LADS SUGGEST FOR A MORE SERIOUS MOTOR. I was thinking 1415 1Y or 1515 2D? Now stop sniffing gasser fuels you idiot and send me some pearls of wisdom and any other suggestions from the boys who now have a Sheila for a Prime Minister would be welcome
