Ahaa, figures. The man from Broke Back Hill called me on Christmas Day. He was remarkably sober. Made my Christmas to hear from him.
Sorry I have not sent anyone personal Christmas wishes but this Christmas was all about my sister. She was recently told she has incurable cancer and we don't know if she will see another Christmas. Chemo is shrinking the cancer but not killing it. They told her that once the chemo stops shrinking it then it will be Game Over for her. She is a strong woman and the grim prick in the hood and cape can expect a black eye or two before he gets her.

Doc, do not tell he has a hole in the rear as he will get excited.

      Edit

That is bad news Paddy, but we all one day have to meet the grim reaper. I trust that her courage will carry her through to the final event.

There's a hole in her rear ... and the esc has no water tubes.. leaky bum go pop bang !

        Doc,
        108 kph on 9s.
All her holes have OSE Hockey tape (OK it is made in ) but I must install some water tubes soon as I am not sure how long the Hifei Swordfish will hold up without it. Mind you having said that, it only ever comes in slightly above air temperature. The motor is the thing that gets the warmest and that is only slightly above esc temp. On 9s all the electrics are doing their job without raising a sweat.

I took the Drambuie out again this morning and ran it on 10s. Speed was 116 kph or 72 mph and then a blow-over. There was more left on the trigger but the air-dam and COG are going to have to be moved.

Here are four videos of the Drambuie On Rice taken this morning. The last one shows the blow-over.

Paddy, can you ever take a corner at almost full speed when the boat is ripping?

                    Love you,

Douggie this boat suffers from the same problem that all long narrow cats suffer from... they roll over and play dead. I knew that before I purchased it but I was suspicious that it might be fast in a straight line. I was reminded on the phone this morning that adjusting the angle of the strut should help bring the nose down so I will try that to see if it stops its urge to fly. This is going to have to wait for my next days off work as I start back tomorrow and if the weather is good I am going to experiment with my Xzess 2 on 4s. That is 1515 0.5 Y on 4s... a ticking bomb I know but that is what drives me. If I get over 80 mph before the explosion I will be happy.

wouldnt angling the rudder forward bring the nose down in the turns?
while im on, whats that forum app? and is it on the playbook store?

Paddy, you are correct on the long and narrow pussys, but my H&M M-1 Supercat is 34" long and broad in the beam and is a great boat. .....most of the European pussys are designed for straight line speed, but your boat looks great and I trust you achieve your speed goal as I am sure you will.

I was one of the founders but my wife forced a sale after the hot tub video.

Thanks for the info on the Supercat Douggie. The Doc sold me my first cat and I have been hooked ever since. I would love a cat that went round corners fast but that will come later when I see one at the right price.
