A very generous gesture Paddy, you are indeed a star.
This type of attitude, and the information freely shared on this forum by everyone, is what makes this hobby so enjoyable.
    Graham.

Thanks Graham and you are correct about the generosity on OSE. I have given so little compared to a lot of other people here. Simon is a guy that appreciates the help and I enjoy his builds.

          Paddy !!!

The PQ hand grenade arrived today !!
I'll whip the funny looking connector off it and pop on a set of 5.5s and then wait for my new speedy to get here before I can give it a whirl.

Yes I need a new speedy. The last one was a little hydrophobic and made a big show of expressing its disdain of moisture.

Translation Tub flooded....don't ask....speedy immersed while powered......lots of smoke and the well known smell.

I have another ESC on its way.
          See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

I have done the same the very first time i took the rigger out.... the water outlet was in the top of the hatch, which meant every time you took the hatch off you had to disconnect the water tubing, long story short forgot one day ( 1st day)
And had more water in the hull than outside, but the Hydra 240 Survived......

            another miricale.

              Simon,
Pleased to hear you got the battery. I think that one will be ok. Not good you smoked an esc but welcome to the club.

I am going to solder some 5.5mm (or bigger) connectors on to my YGE esc that I use in Mr Krabs as with the new battery I am expecting big things to happen, going on the short blast I had last time out. Man that boat was like Andy chasing my sister.

Thanks for keeping me informed about what is happening at your pond and shed with your PM's and emails. You are within 9kph of your goal now and you must be feeling good about how things are going. How are the SAW sponsons going?

The SAW sponsons are great !!!
Well the rigger floats with them on and that is as far as testing has got.

I will get to run them in a week or two.
I'll keep progress reports updated in my 4S rigger thread.
