I think I was fairly close as those ponies are for Barbie dolls - right. My daughter had about every Barbie thing that they made (can you say spoiled). On Christmas eve I would spend hours putting on all the stickers that came with the d@mn stuff.

We have been there and done that one with the barbies although I think she only had 10 or so. The accessories, cars etc are the killer.
      Now it is Horses.
Shes has 16 nags now and the catalogue has a lot of marks in it.

Without further ado here is one stable block full and the pround new owner.
The next one is down on my bench with the glue drying.

Paddy I hear what you say about the family and hope like fark that does not happen here.

Young ??? Not sure about that
Her own boat, when she comes to the pond she gets to have a play with my tow boat.
I have let her have a go with my crawler, on the lawn, and she is only marginally interested in R/C stuff.
            I'll work on it though.

The Equestrian centre is coming on well and we will show more as it develops.

They are great kids aren't they? My 10 year old daughter thought that the Wild Thing I built her and her brother needed new paint, so for xmas she gave me the paint! She helped sand and prep the boat ( it was black) she then did the undercoat and helped with the top coat. It is not the best job but not to bad and she just loves her new Red boat Dad built.
Simon I promise not to over run this thread anymore.

                    Update.
With washing the house, mowing 37 lawns, and running the odd boat we have achieved this so far.
She now has a small paddock to play with the horses.
For those of you that may have some small idea of young girls fashions, that is not a bad taste top. It is her pyjamas.
There is also a pic of her and Tigger who she was on today at lessons.

                      A great thread Simon.
A cousin of mine was right into horses and show jumping. When she got married and had kids one of her daughters represented Scotland in show jumping. Girls and horses just go together.

You know, all this time I thought it was going to be one of those new German hydros 1/5 scale and the little swinging doors were flood chambers to help it get on plane.

So I am in the workshop busy on the second stable building and in walks the little one with a small cardboard box in her hand.
"dad, have yo got a small bit of wood??"
                          How big?
"about this big" she hold her hands 6" apart
                          What is it for?
                          "A ramp for this"
                          What is it?
"A trailer to get the horses from......"

No, you cant have any of my wood, now you need to see the face of an 8yo girl who has just had the carpet pulled from under her.

You can help me design and build a proper horse float !!
This afternoon was rainy so washing the front of the house was out.
This is what we have so far.
It is mocked up on blocks to give an idea and she is now VERY happy.
She and mum will paint it.

                          There is more to come.

At long last the horse truck was pressed into operation this afternoon.
Half an hour later she came down and told me some of the problems.
The horses fall over when the truck is moved.
A long discussion was had as to why this was not a foreseeable problem and whose fault it was.
It was decided that it was my fault somehow and now I am responsible for fixing all the design and construction problems.
I now have to fit removeable dividers so that the horses do not fall over when the truck is in motion. A couple of cargo areas have now been added to plans just so Dad is not left with spare time on his hands to build a big rigger.
Here is the truck on acceptance trials and the owner with the new plans.
