Ummmm... Isn't that what I just suggested? Obviously, we won't have any choice. As long as their FACTs have some sense of logic to them.

Do you accept the OJ decision?? Sometimes, there isn't enough evidence to convict, even if they are guilty. We'll have to wait and see.

You can pick my words apart and say that you weren't suggesting that that's the ONLY reason they won, but it's clear that your post (and the person who made that misrepresentation of a chart) was meant to suggest that they at least in some part win because they are using under-inflated footballs. If that's not the point of your post and that chart, what is?

The NFL has now stated (funny that they waited until Super Bowl week was over) that only ONE of the 11 footballs in question was 2psi below the lower limit. The majority of those 11 footballs were very close to the lower limit, some within a tenth. Apparently they must have needed just one soft ball for a key series in that 45-7 game, and the rest needed to be an all-important 1/10psi low.

In a sport where athletes are using illegal PEDs, committing terrible acts of violence off the field, paying players bonuses to intentionally injury players on the opposing team, and committing suicide at an alarming rate after retirement (at least in part due to head trauma), we are focused on some balls that were a negligible amount below the 12.5psi threshold, as I imagine a lot of other teams balls are. I say whether you are a Seahawks fan, a Pats fan, a Lions fan, etc...if you are spending your time hoping that Tom Brady or the Patriots are "exposed" for deflating footballs, you're naïve to say the least. There are a lot of important components to the game, inflation is not one of them.

Everyone will remember "Deflate-gate", but how many people remember Ray Curruth without doing a google search?

It's funny how everyone wants to blame Pete Caroll for passing the ball on the one yard line instead of going by the book and running the ball, but nobody is upset that he let Wilson throw it up at the end of the first half instead of taking the field goal with :06 on the clock. He could have just as easily been sacked or had his pass intercepted on that play, or a variety of other things that would have lead to no score. The normal intelligent play would be to take the field goal. He didn't because he believed in his QB and his WR and decided to take a chance. Nobody cares about that one, because it worked. Likewise, if NE didn't intercept that ball on the 1 and Sea scored the TD, Pete would be a hero today.

I live in Seattle and have been listening to all the explanations, and, as you can tell by my posts above if you even remotely understand me as a person and sportsman, I'm not disappointed with that call. They've made that same play over and over and over. I'm realistic and can accept that sometimes things don't workout your way.
