Looking at getting a new tower for home. Looking for recommendations

Looking at getting a new tower for home. Need more horsepower for using Photoshop and possibly Lightroom to work on my images. Tired of using this 6year old computer. What processor are people using with LR and Photoshop CS6 now days. I7? also would like recommendations for memory and video card

        Really want to know?
It is 5 or 6 years old and a Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33 GHZ and 16GB of ram running windows 7. it works on photoshop though I mostly use Bridge and Adobe Camera Raw for working on my images. But is extremely slow using Lightroom.

I like the Mac mini because you can actually open it up and add or remove hard drives and solid state drives internally. I run music software, so i run the program on the ssd and store on the hd. Keeps the program itself running quick. I recommend running your programs on a ssd and storing on a hd. Whatever you do, try to dedicate your computer to doing the task you get it for.

Any Mac Is great! But if you are Diehard Windows person Get the latest greatest intel chip. (probably the i7) Since the machine you are using is 6 years old every new machine is going to be better.
Video card really only matters if you are a gamer. Photoshop does not care. Load it up with memory though. 4gig at least. Get the Best you can afford or want to spend.
