I exercised my second amendment right when I was 19.... Luckily for me I defended my friends and myself from a black and white so racism was never brought up........ I'm sure it would have if there was not a white involved and i was acquitted after a jury trial...... The DA in Kern County sucks and I hope anyone who carries a gun and acts with in there right and gets jumped has the balls to fear what the attacker will do with your gun and pulls the trigger ! After this Zimerman case is over maybe dum dum up to no gooders will stay out of places they should not be and think twice about hitting somebody with a gun..... Tragic a 17 year old kid lost his life , I have seen crazy 14 year old punch in grills of vehicles in anger so age should have nothing to do with this case...... Would you want to fight a 17 year old mike Tyson ?....... The kid was probably looking for something to steel so he could go score a sack of weed and when zim confronted a suspicious person in his "gated community " the kid turned violent like most criminals do....... Tragic case but I think in the end we will see Zimerman acted within his rights............

Blah blah blah. You know zero facts on the case, but since you're a gun owner, have made your own story up and are already acquitting him. Priceless.

Just like you and the liberal media also have made there mind up with no facts other than a white killed a black....... I think it's priceless how Obama is playing the race card on this case saying it looks like he could be my son...... And the new black panthers are wanting blood with no facts..... What I think of this case is subject to change as fact present them selves ...... I can't help what I think just like the lib media and everyone who thinks it's ok to tweet the addy knowing they are putting the lives of innocent untill proven guilty lives on the line .... Your true colors Rumdog and the like are what's dividing this country and allowing big brother to make desitions for us...... Not everyone who is being attacked has time to call 911 , being able to defend ourselves is a right.... To bad there are soo many idiots who don't agree....

Your too far gone to even reason with. How do you know my opinion on the case. The fact is, I don't really have one. I know zero facts. Just like you. However, you're the one fabricating stories to back your ridiculous agenda. Your bigotry is really coming out nicely between this and the other off topic thread.

People do have the right to defend themselves. But on the other hand, if there wasn't so much hatred and social injustice being forced into our everyday lives, would we have to?
I do believe people have the right to bear arms. That provision was primarily designed to keep ours and foreign governments in check. But I have to wonder, how far can we take this?
What will it eventually come down to? If someone disagrees with you, will you eventually get to shoot them? Guns are a right as well as a responsibility. I certainly don't want to see this country turn into a was zone.

I don't know how that is playing the race card. Maybe Obama thought the kid looked like he could be his son. Oh wait. That's what he said. Silly me.

I own a rifle. I dont own a handgun, because it is useless unless I plan to shoot a person at close range. I might consider it if I lived in a more dangerous area, but I'm in the middle of the woods..

Do handguns really have a place in our modern society? Personal protection?? If criminals didn't have them, There would be no use, right?

So far the the case has all signs of a self defense shooting , that is why Zimmerman is not in jail...... Also I have good sence of smell .

I just got my cocealed carry permit and there is huge responsability that comes with it

Its not like i could just draw a weapon on someone if i feel threatened..i could be sued for embellishing a weapon so there are real consequences that would involve the court system...unfortunately i feel the need to be able to protect myself because of the way the world is and is heading

I have recently done the same. I had it years ago and let it lapse. Not again.

Gangs are running around neighborhoods around here, kicking in doors during the day, whether you are home or not, and assaulting and steeling and invading people's lives. It's my DUTY to protect my family, and to make sure they can do the same.

As the saying goes.... "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away"...

Sorry to all of those who buy into the BS that the Government will solve all your problems. It doesn't work that way, ESPECIALLY when things get tough. It's my Constitutional right to protect my family and my interests, and I'm perfectly willing to accept the responsibility to do just that.

And I don't give a rats-ass what color, race, or creed the hoodlum is that is coming through the door, or if they are wearing a hoodie or a 3-piece suit. I'm an equal opportunity shooter...

As for some of the other antics that I've just read through on this thread... I think we all need to learn to discuss a little better, without letting things get so "troublesome"... I have a feeling that the majority of these conversations, were they to occur over a couple of beers at the local bar, wouldn't get nearly as personal, divisive, or heated. Try to keep it friendly, folks...
