If that's $18,000 worth materials and labor to that point then I want to work for you! Looks like $1500-2000 worth of site work/ excavating maybe $2500 if you include the stone base and no more than $1000 into building the forms for your foundation. I'm not an expert on this but I am in contruction and so is most of my family and friends. If that was for myself I think I'd have about $2K into at that point, including beer and food for said family and friends.

    Good Luck!

There has been surveyor, engineer , architect, Permits and much more you can not see. There more materials under the gates you can not see. The excavating, base rock, and sand was only a small part of the cost.

Ya every one said they could do it cheap untill they saw the blueprints and started adding cost of materials, labor trucking haulling bob cat and so on. Every one wants a little piece and it adds up.

There is a 5 foot setback and my fence is a foot on my side of the property line. I have 20.46 feet from the house to the property line and the garage is 14.5 feet wide.

Walnut Creek CA first check to the city was $975.00 the second $1750.00 good for 6 months. If you do not start the build in the required time you have to start all over again.

It will house a 1969 sports roof and a 1965 Impala.

                Thanks

Wow! That is rediculous! Hope everybody out there makes a lot of money! I thought the impact fees and permits were bad here in the Tampa area but they are probably less than 1/4th of that!

My brother was going to build a house on his property that he bought in the 1960-70ties in the bay area. He went to get the permit info and found this out. The reason was the boom a few years back when people were building a house and it was worth 3/4 of a million and the city wanted there peice of the pie. It will go down some day but with the city's needing money they are reluctant.
