Since I was a kid I always did love air rifles. Here's my new PCP Marauder air rifle from Crosman. You fill the 3000psi air chamber up using a scuba tank or hand pump.

Tell me what you think once you get it dialed in.
I love air guns. I've got a few I've Collected over the years.
AirArms Pro Elite that I bought before they went out of production.
A couple Crosman 22XX series CO2 guns that have been modded.
A chinese TX200 copy (working on that one).Brian "Snowman" Buaas

Hi Brian. I'm still experimenting on the Whiplash ride pads and turnfin also. I will let you know what I think.
Crosman will soon be releasing a new Marauder PCP pistol with included add on shoulder stock. The first 75 have been sold out, but the next 25 will be avaliable over Crosman's site only.

I have a tuned TX200 for field target, I always wanted a falcon lighthunter PCP, but I don't really shoot much any more.
Some pretty wild FPS variations on the chrony there given the crossman premier pellets which are normally pretty consistent, I use them myself, I guess its an unregulated rifle.
edit, I just noticed the price $450 I paid £300 for my TX200 which works out at $450 with today's exchange rate, I'm rather surprised that you can get any half decent PCP for that much and I wouldn't expect it to be regulated at that price.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment

I'm building a new Whiplash right now. Actually three, a 20 and 40 converted to FE and a gasser for the nats next summer.
The PCP stuff is just more equipment intensive than I want to get. Part of what I like about the Marauder is the dual fuel deal, I've got lots of bulk fill CO2 stuff. I've got a bulk fill 22xx pistol with a 2260 tube, 14" LW barrel and monster ported gas valve (and all the rest of the tuning trick). Spits .22 premiers at a hair over 700fps. It's a pretty nice warm weather squirel gun.
I actually really love a well tuned spring gun. Something about having to cock it every shot turns me back into a kid again.
I'd like to try field target, but don't have anyone locally to play with. Unfortunately, everything I own is in .22.Brian "Snowman" Buaas

On my ruger AC556 you fill the mag up with 30 rounds, pull the trigger and in 1.6 seconds it is empty again! here is my 10 year old shooting it for the first time with the .22LR conversion in it with a .22LR suppressor on it.
No matter what it is, it can be a lot of fun if done safely! those marauders seem very nice!

I also have a new single shot break down barrel rifle, but insted of a spring it operates using new nitrogen gas cylinder technology. Much like those gas cylinders that hold the hatch or hood of a car open. It's called the Remington NPSS and it's made by Crosman for Remington. Using JSB 18.1 grain pellets I have shot dime size groups at 25 yards.
befu,
that is one very cool .22 rimfire you have there (fully auto and surpressed). What type of liscence does it require to own and operate?
If your bullets are travelling faster that the speed of sound you will still hear a loud crack even if your gun is surpressed. Have you ever shot Remington subsonic rounds in it? Cool StuffLast edited by detox; 12-05-2010, 12:50 PM.Comment

Standard velocity 22's run great in it, but you are right, the sonic crack is still there. The suppressor really does make quite a difference since the barrel is less than 16" (13" I think) Remington subsonic does not have enough kick to cycle the action, so it turns into a blow back fully automatic bolt action! I think I can put a softer recoil spring in it and get it to work, just never have.
I shoot the subsonics in my Ruger 10/22 with the can and it is quiet! The mac-11 also works well with subsonic rounds with a can.
air rifles are one of the things to get into in the future, just haven't hit that yet.
You can put a can on an air rifle, just make sure it can't come off otherwise it is an illegal can. It only has to quiet a 22 for one shot to be considered a suppressor.

Roy,
I've been to your site many times.
For me, half the fun of the crossman guns is building them myself.
Here's a my 2240 after a bit of work.
Started as a base custom shop 2240.
Had an old Tasco 1.25x6x pistol scope that made a great match. Added grips and did a bunch of trigger work first. Next, recrowned the barrel to get a more consistant grouping. Then I wanted more power so I ported the valve and transfer. Added an extended bolt probe and built the carbon shroud. That's about where it sits at the moment.
It's not the most powerful 2240 around, still running powerlets. But it's loads of fun in the back yard.
Next I think it's goint to get a 2250 tube and bulk fill.Brian "Snowman" Buaas
