Yes only 1 gig of ram so that is a must. If it has a onboard graphics chip can I put a board in it?

Very cool Chuck. It sounds like you have what you need. Speaking of props, I still have this little Tenshock one I need to get S/B that could help with the funds.

If you need a legit copy of XP Pro, let me know. I've got a few licenses I've been holding on to that you could use. I also have an extra CPU cooler and PSU I'm not using. Sorry I didn't catch you before you ordered one. When you get everything, let me know what you do or don't have and need. I've got boxes of stuff sitting around and access to other parts for free, one of which is Jeff's workplace.

Yes ... but you may have to go into the bios and disable the onboard one.

I am covered thanks anyway and as for the prop I can do it any time. Cape Henry is having a meeting Saturday the 13th if you can make it I will get it then.

Yes you can run a graphics card on a motherboard with onboard graphics there are 2 types of graphics cards those that use an AGP port and those that use a PCIexpress port, the 6800 is available for both being one of the last cards to run AGP and one of the first to use PCIexpress so you will have to look up what graphics slot your motherboard has.

OK, no problem, just let me know on that stuff.

I have a gig that day and I'm not sure I can make it. When are they going to meet on Sundays again? I really enjoy watching the scale models. I don't have the skills or patience to build one, but can certainly appreciate the effort that has gone into them.

To keep disruption of the family to a minimum I decided to order a case as well and build this one at my leisure. I will take one of the DVD burners from the existing PC and put it in the new one. This way I can build one and use one at the same time. When I have the new one up and running I will transfer the other DVD burner and 320 gig HDD. Then I will put a CD burner and 120 gig HDD in the old one and reformat for a 2nd PC.

Computer is done and I ran the Super PI test - 21.528 seconds at 1,000,000 places.

I tried to do the Aquamark 3 test but it doesn't work on Windows 7.

I also upgraded the internet ...

That's great! I bought my wife that case a few years ago, but it was different colors. I'm glad to hear everything came together for you. Let me know if you need anything to complete the way you want.
