Well it finally happened. The motorcycle shop I work for has gone under. They tried to make it till next year but just had nothin left. I have looked everywhere and nothin out there. Man this SUCKS !!!

Thank you for the kind words. Yes I have two kids. My daughter is 3 and my son is 18 months. I should be ok my wife has a decent job but it definitely puts a damper on things. The bad thing is with it being winter in Maryland and me only knowing motorcycles it will be atleast spring time before I find something.
I feel really bad for the guy that owned the shop. He put his heart and soul into that place and had a good 14 year run.Many issues!!!Comment

I have a decent job, but recently lost the income of my wife's job because she choose to walk out on my Daughter & I. It's a struggle and I am loosing gorund every day. It may not seem as though it'll be too bad at the start, just tighten the belt a few notches, but it's not that easy. Come Christmas, It may not seem so easy as it does now.
My daughter lost a tooth, & I had to tell her that the tooth fairy is on vacation right now. Just keep your chin up & if you hit bottom, that's your chance jump back up!"A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

Bummer, Will. My Dad has had several of the bike shops he frequented (he and Mom have matching Goldwings) close up the past few years, and it's frustrating to the customers as well. You know more than just motorcycles. You know how to work in a shop, engines, etc. Sell your good features, turn "just motorcycles" into "a dedicated focus and mastery of motorcycles." Think about how you're a master of a trade, rather than a Jack-of-all trades.

Rebar, thanks man. I put an ad on Craigslist and have been getting alot of calls. Already did 2 atvs and 2 dirtbikes. Also hooked up with a good machinist! Havent told him about boats yet. LOL Got more lined up after the first of the year. Thanks again everybody!Many issues!!!Comment

They keep telling us things are getting better. I don't see it at all. At my Jewelry Store, three years ago I had to hire extra help during the Christmas season and every day we barely had time for lunch. This year(and last) 5 of us are sitting around and looking at each other.Steven Vaccaro
