    Obama!!

Obviously there are a lot of opinions around here about President Obama. In this thread I would like to hear how Barack's policies so far, have affected YOUR life. Positively or negatively.

For one, that multi-trillion dollar Stimulus plan with thousands of earmarks, when there were supposed to be and agreed upon 0, has promised my children and their children a lifetime of debt that will never be repaid. Yet all it has done was create 15,000 more government jobs and fund the banking industry, which is still begging for money.

And for two, what has he done so far? Nothing but delegation of duties, campaign for the left, and take vacations.

Now whats really scary is the policies that he wants to put in place: govt healthcare, cap and trade tax, redistribution of wealth, etc... And whats worse are the scare tactics used to get these things going in Congress and apporved by the public.

I guess what I mean is, how does it affect your life, on a day to day basis? Not what does he do that you don't approve of.

So knowing that I'm raising children to be burdened by trillions of government debt doesn't affect my life?

So my question is how much money do you make? How much do you take home? How many times do you look at your check stub and curse because you could have 30% more in your pocket? Now that you are on my page, why is it fair that I work and pay my taxes to pay for those who choose not to work? Do you like funding drug dealers and rapists? I sure don't. With Obama's redistribution of wealth program you can be sure to kiss another 20% of your paycheck goodbye so that the undeveloped and poor can have what you have.
I have a co-worker that just moved into an apartment complex closer to work. Rent for her is $900 a month. However, there are a select few tenants that only have to pay $90 a month for the same housing services thanks to Uncle Sam. Is that right and fair also?

Did you know also that under the healthcare plan, everyone will be entitled to a cell phone with approximately 70-80 prepaid minutes. Why? Yet another source of wasted tax dollars.
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

Ya know, I ask myself a similar question. Why do I have to pay taxes to fund a war I didn't start? Why do I have to pay taxes to bail out financially strapped financial institutions who flaunt they excesses, bonuses?

Sorry you didn't make the 30% tax bracket to fully understand.

Stimulus Act will stimulus trillions of debt now and in the coming years, like it or not. Read the bill and tell me otherwise.

Rapists and drug dealers were an example of the types that sucks the government tit. I'm sure you love paying taxes to Uncle Sam and have him give it to the "less fortunate" that rely on the government for housing, food, and funding.

                    I agree.

You know, paying taxes is optional. Ask most of the cabinet nominees that were refused.

Actually, thats the best thing that my tax dollars can do in my eyes. Help the less fortunate. How exactly do rapists and drug dealers fit in to this?

That all depends on your source and what you take away from it.

Not really. Income tax evasion is a serious crime. Ask Wesley Snipes...Sorry..he's one of those "no good for nutin black folks."

Obama as an individual has done nothing, jsut as Bush himself did nothing. It is the entirety of the system that is responsible for the situation. That being said our current road we are winding down can not have a positive effect. A direct effect of the Stimulus package is the large amount of borrowed money and printed money (valueless) has not caused any easing in the recession and can arguably be extending the time frame for actuall recovery.

The other factor is because the dollar has been devalued inflation has started. Gold has went from just over 900.00 per ounce before the stimilus plan to 1068.00 closing yesterday you can not print money that has no value without negative effects. In the next few years we will see big inflation and further devaluation of our lacking economy

                              Cory,
Do you think this is fair?

There are some very wealthy individuals who work hard for their money.
There are some very poor ditch diggers who work equally as hard. But just as there are poor people who are lazy, there are some rich that are equally lazy.
