So if I were a homophobe, wouldn't you be racists right now? It would be my choice to be homophobe, and I wouldn't be the only one. So wouldn't I qualify for the same rights as the homo's themselves? Then name calling a homophobe is racists as well...

Maybe you should check you realist views.

That literally made me laugh out loud. Is homophobia a race?

              Is homosexuality a race?

Exactly, but I'm a racists for believing its wrong.

Nope. You're not a racist for thinking it's wrong.
If you don't like Gay people, that is your choice. But to act on that dislike is another story. When I say "Act" this means actively or passively. Not giving that guy a promotion because of his sexual preference is wrong. Unless he comes to work in a tutu with sparklers.

First off, how the hell did "Black and White" marriage get mixed in to this? As far as they are man and women, which have the possibility to procreate, let them have at it.

As for people thinking I hate gay people, think what you like. I dont hate anyone or any group, I just believe in the true definition of marriage.

So I guess Steve Martin is a racist? You realize he was nominated for 7 awards by the IBMA this year, and won 2 of them?!?!?

My question is, what are you all so afraid of??
Who said anything about fear? Fear is irrational. There are absolute rights and wrongs, despite what you may have heard in school.

The banjo reference was intended to recall a "Deliverance" type of attitude. It had nothing to do with actual banjo players. You see the problem with taking things literally all the time??

No, fear is actually not irrational, a phobia is irrational and is defined as an irrational fear of something. Hence the term "homophobia" which many here seem to be despite your protestations to the contrary.

And as far as absolute rights and wrongs, not many philosophers or theologians would agree. For instance, is killing another human an absolute wrong?

See how a little innuendo can take on a life of it's own? Sort of like what these "commentators" on TV spew out. They can take a seemingly benign issue, filter it, re-imagine it, and alter it to fit their agenda. By the time it airs on TV, it is some monstrosity of half truths and opinion. I watched Fox News and MSNBC last night. Reps. Got two Governors seats. Big victory for the GOP and the people are repudiating Obama. Fox didn't mention that they lost a seat in the house. MSNBC blamed it on "These states normally vote republican" and other reasons. I think that the people just voted in who they felt was a better candidate. No spin.

Regarding the Healthcare Reform Bill, Virginia Fox states “I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country.”

If that is true, let's just take the money we're spending on these wars and give every U.S. Citizen free healthcare? How come no one speaks about the deficit when it comes to foreign policy but when domestic policy come up....The deficit becomes one of the main talking points? All those dribbling idiots in Washington have an agenda. The only concern they have for the american people is to find new and imaginative ways of getting taxes out of us.
