No vids, but thought Id post a few pics I took today (Oct. 3rd, date stamped on the pics are wrong) at the dry pits for the Offshore boat races in Clearwater Fl. Should have more pics after tomorrows race. First time going by land (usually by boat), we will see how things go....

some more...
Got to talk with the owner of the Extremem Powerboats (1st pic). Cool, guy. Boat is in a class that is about 600 hp or less, single engine. His boat runs upper 80s to low 90s depending on prop size and water conditions. -
And more...
Got to speak with the owner of the P5-4 boat as well. Cool team. Garage based "home builder" that does it for the fun. Was talking about his experience after a blown motor in Sarasota Fl. Built a new (well, freshly rebuilt) motor from used parts he found through different distributors. Built it in his garage. Some oil pressure problems in Key West. Then won in NY, still with oil in the bidlge. Re-did some more and is anxious to see what tomorrow brings... Oh, and was picking on kids who were sitting in the cockpit. All of them went across and directly into teh drivers seat. Couldnt figure out why nobody wanted to run throttles.. I told him I would for tomorrow... it didnt fly.Comment
