Looks like a construction site to me. With all the money those union guys make, maybe it's true.

Oh wait, it's only the union BOSSES that make the money. The average members are stuck paying the bosses' salaries instead of putting their money into their own personal savings accounts.

Wow, any excuse to complain huh? I'm sure those union guy's aren't whining about it when they get laid off and the union is padding their unemployment benefits.

Cool pic btw. I always thought it had to do with unicorn queef.(rainbows)

Not complaining - not a member, plan never to be one. Ever research where unions came from? Who the early leaders were? Who the current leaders are? But I'm not surprised you're defending them.

I don't know anybody who has ever been glad during a strike or layoff that they were in a union. You don't get something for nothing. You can't give 6-figure incomes to stuffed shirts and expect them to bail you out when you're out on your keester for THEIR poor negotiating skills but their pay is unhampered.

unions have there bad points and there good points...next time u fly (paid for by your non union company) remember those air traffic controllers are all union government employees who cant strike...but their management bosses are the same ones that caused the 81 strike....

                      I know, huh? WTH??

It's pretty apparent which states have VERY strong Union influence! And YES, I'm in a union, and have been in one form or another since 1988. Unions OF THE PEOPLE are a good thing... Unions as we have today, which are run by thugs, and pull the strings of our weaker public officials, are not.

My faith in unions disappeared back in 1995 when the IAM went on strike... and for good reason... the company was trying for a LOT of "take-aways". Everyone here knows that, after 45-days, the company has clauses in their contracts with customers that allows them to reset their delivery dates in the event of a strike, so it was no surprise that, on day 46, they came back to the table with an offer. What WAS a surprise is that the offer was WORSE than the first one, and the Union wholeheartedly RECOMMENDED it's ratification. Those corrupt bastards were a little shocked when over 80% of the membership voted NO and went out for another 24-days...

They've gotten TOO big, and have lost their purpose. JUST like our Federal and State Governments.

                        I agree Darin.

Randy sorry to chop up your thread, but the outhouse and Barney do have some correlation.

Unions need to understand that they do not run the company...the need to know their place.

Union leaders have a place --- just ask Jimmie Hoffa! He's holding the goal post up well at his age maybe not!
