I am looking for a brushless esc for a 1/16th scale projest. Probably won't go over 35 amps using 6 cells or a 2s lipo pack.

Let me know what you got

got a good one for you, its a 60-80 amp hopf viper, i believe it is a airplane esc, its very small, and is conformal epoxied, works great. i trust it more than the castle 80's i own. ive run it on 8 cells and a 8xl, depending on you radio, you may need the device that i see steve offering for sale on his site. to make it compatible with a pistol radio. it works with my hitec agressor pistol grip radio, you just need to adjust the endpoints. comes with 3.5mm bullet conectors. 50.00plus shipping. this isnt a no name brand, in case you arent familiar with these. hopf is a german company, that makes high quality rc products. and it has the instructions with it. specs- standard 60 amp, max 80 amp,24 fets 3,8,15,30 degree timing, 8/16/32 khz-pwm, 2-5 cells lipo, 6-18 cell nimh on/off brake

Is there anything needed to program it?

Where are the Hopf eSC's available? I need to know as I am trying to set up a 1/16th scale spec class and am trying to figure out gear that is easy to get.

i got this one from a hobby shop, and it wasnt cheap, i forget the exact cost. mhz is the only company i know that carries hopf stuff, the hobby shop owner had bought this for his dehaviland beaver float plane that i built for him, then i water proofed it , and he decided not to fly it , and just use as a display, so i was paid for my building services, on a couple of projects with this

doing good prop, nice to see you are around, i was talking to him the other night, and he told me you guys went runnin out in arizona? wish i could have gone. i'm up here in canuckistan(canada) now, lots of spots to run here, you cant throw a stone without hitting a lake. hey i finally got to the 60 mph mark (59.8 mph) with my miss timex. i cant believe that anyone wasnt interested in it on the swap shop, $250.00 60mph boats dont come round often!!!!

Man ! 60 mph !! I cant make it around an offshore course in the forties with the Drifter ! I do have a seriously dialed in Titan 29 that I'm running in P-Mono & offshore . Race in Sept. In NorCal with the DMWB ; how far are you from SF ? :D

about 3500 miles or so, i'm in ontario right above northern newyork state, 30 minutes to the st.lawrence river, 45 min from the great lakes (lake ontario) i'm selling most of my boats, the miss timex just went on ebay, along with the sidewinder i built for the 700 shootout of doozies. the sidewinders running in the 40's too. sounds like the patience has paid off and all 3 of us have finally got boats that work well!! and ive only fried 10 speed controls so far:D that would be a good race. i'm doing a rigger (mhz) with a big plettenberg/schultze set-up, i want 70 mph next. i

i have for a long time, just havent made it to a race, the only boat i have that may have done alright is that sidewinder with a 700, it was pretty fast. however i did build a 18 inch long mono that runs on a 4 cell pack that flys with a brushed 540. my main problem with boats is the fact that i was spending all night at my workbench, instead of with my wife and kids. it's an easy thing to do, i dont know why these boats are so addictive, now i just muck around a little here and there, sorry to hijack your post u-40, but i know you found an esc. talk to you later prop, gotta head to bed, gotta get up early and finish wiring my new house thats under construction!!
