Thanks! The homemade wooden cat is beautiful and nice work! 72mph on 1S? Wow! Must have at least a 10,000KV motor to do that.

Just look at how many people showed up! I think if we added the guys from IMPBA and NAMBA that go to SAW events it would not be such turn out... I'd love to see something like that here.

Great video, interesting to note that almost all were using FM transmitters not 2.4ghz

The Elam is a Hydro&Marine T4 1:10.

This is the home page from Jörn Olivers owner from the Elam .

As I understand it 2.4 operates under much lower power allowances in Europe and in fact it is not even legal everywhere around the globe.

Look at the Futaba FASST stuff and they actually have a "France" setting due to the power restrictions.

The same guys that are doing the big electric cats also do BIG turbine powered cats as well. They have some videos on YouTube that are amazing. How about $5,000 USD just for the engine, none of the other stuff. Now how about TWIN turbines in a 92-inch cat?? The guy who owns ClassOne boats is doing one now!!!

I have seen a video somewhere from one of the crazy Germans of a dual turbine Christo(?) Cat.
it was a sweet expensive to run kinda fast very nice scale boat...

Ub Hauled.

The video you mean is the MHZ Mystic 185 owned by Chriss Tonn.
He made the first twinpowered turbine cat.
A beautiful boat.
That boat is under construction now. They took almost the whole upperdeck out, to raise it !!!!

Sailr :

the motor in the 1cell rigger is a 11500 kv motor.

About 2.4 Gig and normal FM on German Saw

They do have a "schedule/system" which works excellent :

Each boat becomes a number. They also get 1 "pingpong-ball" per boat with a unique number on it.

At the entrance of the Saw area there is a transparent tube.
You throw in your ball if you wanna make a saw-pass.
If your ball is the first in the tube, take the ball and make your run.
If the tube is empty, nobody is running.
If there are 15balls in the tube, you're no16 in line to run.
That easy.
You ONLY turn on the transmitter when you're on the driversdock. And there always is only 1 person.

I am guessing they are light beams at the end of the 100m for a SAW pass.

Yes, they look great but we're not doing so bad here in the US either.
We have numerous scores that top theirs in corresponding classes. I only hold a couple that correspond, but they're higher.

Yes, they're amazing and actually have the fastest FE boat on earth, but they had to come here to run it.

US SAWS drivers make MUCH cleaner passes than a lot I saw on there, and usually opt not to run hydros in rough water.

Not putting the Euros down in any way or discrediting them, but I'm just sayin' come check out one of our LA SAWS, or Valdosta. You'll see some mean, and clean runs. My pride in US Fast Electrics is tall. I feel we are just as strong of a force.
