Very nice runs, I'm impressed with how its running with the 642. I like how it handles without turn fins, I'll have to try without next time out. Cool.

Looks good. Rides nice. Are you getting alot of water in the hull?

Thanks guys!

This hull deserves so much more power...I could keep wot on corners and it wont flip!

No water inside .(I keep one tissue paper folded against transom and after 10 minutes od driving it is sometimes damp)

. I guess that little bit of water gets in from hatch opening when the hatch is removed to check temps.

The worst leak that my sv had was from stuffing tube, after I found where it came from I installed 5mm piece of fuel tube on prop shaft (between drive dog and strut) and no water gets in from there anymore. (I did that to this too)

Do I hear a Feigao 8XL, 9XL or a Neu in the future?
I wonder how a UL-1 motor would work in there?
Here's a inexpensive ESC that would work and just needs waterproofing/cooling added... http://www.himodel.com/electric/HiModel_GX_Seires_200A_4-8S_Electric_Speed_Controller_W_BEC_Type_GX-200A-BEC.html

Agree :rockon2: the Himodel works great water cooled with the 8xl, and will make it fly,I know it will put a  on your face from ear to ear.

But still have to say I'm impressed with the SV system, runs better than I thought it would, just have to say again Good Job Pate.

That esc look great for the price! -any idea is that company reliable? Will the OSE cooling plate fit? Another option is that 180/280A marine HC esc.(89$)

- And yes, I am thinking of 8XL, but I also could keep this hull like it is and get the 33 or 39 version for my next project and add 8/9XL on it :w00t: -Cant build it soon, but for next summer it would be ready... Or maybe the 25" hull and put SV electronics there, then I could get the 8xl on this...

This thing runs so smooth! -I have to try racing it against my friends(Matti1983 here OSE forums) SV. The SV may be a bit faster on the first straight, but after the first corner (and SV flips) this thing is going to finish first!

This is fast when looking the vids but while driving it it some how looks so slow...must be because it handles so perfectly.

I wonder will the 5000mAh 30/40C lipos I ordered with 10awg wire and 5.5mm bullets give this more speed:confused1: -well, attleast they can be used on my next build...

I have 2 Himodel 200amp esc's one in the DF29 and one in the Xzess2 Rigger with the 7xl and both run great, both are water cooled one with Steve's plate that he sells and fits perfect.I had no problems with ordering from Himodel. Also have a Turnigy water cooled 180, good reviews also and no need to mess with cooling it. Himodel sells the same under the Seaking label.
Here is a thread.

Thanks 4 the link Ken.

Sadly the water cooled ones are out of stock everywhere

except the 60A model.

Any Idea of that 60A(120A burst) esc? cheap and widely available on bay.
Somehow the himodel site claims it is 380A burst:blah:

If the 8xl is rated 80A(If I remember correctly) this could be enough???

What do you think? (the 45A SV esc is working fine so 60/120A should be much better???)

Or maybe that one what Domwilson linked is the best and just add the OSE plate on it?

If you get the himodel, get the cooling plate from here as well as the dp270 epoxy and thermal paste to waterproof it.

I will have ten of the 180A Seakings (same as turnigy) in a week or two direct from the factory. These will be upgraded . Seems there was a problem with them with some sort of 'short'. My shipment has been delayed to correct the problem. Sooo, these will be better! Price will be $125 shipped in the U.S. Yeah, I know, They're $90 bucks + shipping at HobbyKing ... BUT... they don't have them. CHEAP is only good if you can get it! I had to pay the same price plus shipping. I'm entitled to make a few bucks for my trouble to help you guys out. So if you want one, PM me. I'll start a waiting list.
