Here is my baby, this is my first mono build so haven't gone too crazy. I did burn up two ESCs in her though... I think she is pretty much set for components:

Feigao 10XL,
Himodel 200 (water cooling/proofing by me)
.078" wire drive and x442

I have been working out the bugs, like adding zip ties to the water cooling tubes to prevent auto-sink functionality. She did pretty good on 4S - 34mph, then I threw in my pair of 5S 6600 mah batts and she is on her way. Temps were getting up there, so might need to prop back a tad. Any other comments definitely welcome.

Mate the 10xl will be fine on 5s, I was running a 9xl on 5s with a 51mm prop for a while. But like all good things they do not last!!! A m445 lasted though! The 10xl in my wild thing 31" handles a m447 on 4s with no probs so I will assume that a 10xl on 5s with a x442 is OK. But as always you must realize that to assume can make an ASS out of U and ME

[QUOTE=Jesse J;111007] Any other comments definitely welcome.

YouTube; search Tony's Aeromarine P- Mono ; 9XL, Hydra 240, 4S2P, X442. This is David Kingstons old boat ! No GPS but these hulls get flighty over @ 52 MPH. Check out the vid !

Looks good, I ran my Titan 29 with a 9xl, cc240 on 4s2p and got it to mid-upper 40s mph with a m445. It always seemed to want to take flight over 45mph. I think because of how wide it is the air gets under it and it wants to fly. They are great hulls, but all hulls have their terminal velocity!

We found the same thing, try to push the Titan 29 much over 45 and it looses its versatility - it needs pretty smooth water and no head wind. A clue why is how well this hull runs on LSO power systems - it has plenty of lift to allow pretty high speeds without a lot of power. That lift hurts when trying to exceed 45 mph.

Adding weight can extend the speed some, but like Kevin said all hulls have an upper limit. The Titan was designed for speeds in the 30s afterall.......

Thanks for all the comments. I am not looking for speeds in excess of 50 mph. I am perfectly happy in the 40 mph club. I have a hydro I may try pushing into 50s, but for the boats I have and my skill I don't want to go much more than 40s.

Dad has a DF29 and we want to race - mid 30s is perfect, still super stable and can handle rougher water.
