Aqua craft just came out with a new rio!!!!!!:bounce:

It's called the rio ep, and it is powered by a 550 motor, and has the same radio system as the ul-1!! can't wait for it to come out! Isn't in stores yet but you can check it out on www.aquacraftmodels.com

Seen any price tags yet on the Rio Ep?

haven't seen any yet, but I'm going to take a swing at the 130-160 range without the bat. probably the same price as the proboat apatche, and shock wave 26, but without the steerable outdrive, plus turn fins, and trim tabs that might help if you wanted to go brushless. It looks like a good deal to me at any price!

Was looking up some info on the stock mini rio and found that rio ep on the frontpage. ABS hull, 550 motor. A budget mild brushless is in the future. Looks sharp, I will say that.

yep I even requested that they made a boat like the widow maker, and I hope they do!! For right now though I think that I will go on and grab this one, and then put in a brushless system just like my apatche.

Awesome! I'm going to take some pics and get it on the water stock and get some gps readings. From the video's it looks like maybe 15mph but we'll see.

I won't go brushless on it for a little while but if I did I would at a guess probably get a feigao 10l. Or maybe run 3s on something with less kv. Not really thought about it much yet.

I want to see what I can do with a few bucks and some time maybe get a nice smooth 20+ mph boat and I'll be happy for a little while. I want something my girlfriend is not scared to drive.
