As a simple motor upgrade has anyone tried a Fiegao 8XL in their SV ?
Using a prop such as an X642 would the standard ESC handle the load ?

It is very doubtful that the ESC will handle the load - that is a lot of prop for a hydro let alone a small mono. I run an m440 in my P Sport hydro with an 8XL and it pulls close to 80 amps. A 10XL or 11 XL would be a much better choices for the SV.

do you think an 11xl would make the supervee that much faster?

I can say I got a sv with 8xl. tried using stock prop, no go. cavitating bad. I think this thing just needs some lipo treatment and a different prop.

stock sv prop yes. I have been told to go with 45mm carbon 2 blade. I will order one of those and some sizes close to let you guys know how they work with 8xl.

IMHO. Carbon props eh... well, they just stink and they bend! Find a good metal prop.;)

whats wrong with the motor thats in it Darin Jordan runs 4s2p and a x646, and gets 42mph out of it. I also race with some guys that used this prop on 12 Ib4200 and they dont have any issues with there esc. (yet) but as far as I know they have like 13 or more runs on them so far.

nothing at all wrong with it, just think about something different. As mine sits right now it is a steady 39 mph on 2s2p with an x440/3. I am waiting on a x642 and then we will see
