I can't seem to find 3M DP270 very easily here in Canada. Are there other products that I can use that will be easier to source?

Thanks but it is about $20 to get Steve to ship something to Canada so that makes this some pretty expensive stuff.

Just use the ol' baloon trick. Always works well for me!

I just use epoxy. Hit it with a hair dryer to make it flow.

I connect all wires etc then wrap it all with plastic electrical insulation tape,it makes it very waterproof and helps vibration a bit.
Spending a good 10 mins. or so makes a fine, neat job.Plus its easy to remove,if needed.

I'm with Rumdog.
A balloon costs 2 cents & takes 30 seconds. Why complicate things with anything else.

Traxxas make a nice waterproof receiver box for the 1/10 truck called the Slash. I have one in my truck, but I think it would work well in a boat. It retails around $12. Russ

As I have said many times....CONDOMS works best. Also, a camping soap box also does a nice job.

Balloons have too small of neck. Condoms need to be used that are non- lubricated. Zip tie the end and you are done. You must remove them at the end of the day because of condensation.

The only problem with using condoms or balloons with the FAST Futaba system is that they have a tendency to warm up while being used and if you "bag" them they will overheat and fail. Russ
