So who is going to try this in a boat. The motor in the new dysson spins at 104000 RPMs.

From the picture, I see a huge capacitor on one side of the rotor, and a huge coil (inductor) on the other side. That looks like a classic "tank circuit"

Google "Switched reluctance" to learn how they work.
The Brits will never be able to sell it. There's no place for an oil leak.

Yes it does so in this case it would only be capable of running at 1 speed.
