Hello friends!

in first place..Thank you Steven!


So...I'm starting to (TRY) copy my own 1:1 sport/recreation boat..



Scratch build...without plants,only with photos and measures ..

It is a Carbrasmar Pampo 19,5-1973,boat to sea, with outdrive volvo penta 280, gasoline engine 6 cylinders, 4100 cc to use for recreation, fishing and water skiing ...

I will make the hull in wood coated in fiberglass ... still do not know which motor to use .. btw,i have no idea!

the hull is with 33 inches x 14 inches . ..

Graupner Z-Drive 820 ...

the manual recomend a 820 but i reallly dont want to use three 7,2v packs..even fits in that hull..2 packs would be OK...

fantastic build!!!! I chuckled a few times, once when I saw the tiny dials and switches on the dash board and second the anchor and almost perfectly fashioned rope and knot that accompany the anchor. Great build, awesome detail!!

Are you looking for scale speed or FAST? It would of course be much cheaper to use a brushed motor and ESC. I would suggest a graupner 700 or similar for example. It's big enough to have plenty of power. Your boat is pretty big size.

the cost guard is more closer what i want because is heavy,but could be a little faster.. i think for scale looks,heavy boats navigate more :thumbup:

My boat is pretty big size..and pretty big weight too!!!

my "real" boat its super heavy..for that reason a did my "rc" boat heavy too..in fact ,with all acessories and z-drive weights about almost 10 pounds (4,5 kilos)

that with 33 inches Length,14 inches wide...:rockon2:


i prefer brushed..idont want a 800 because it is 20v...14 would be better..

do you think that a 700 is powerful enought? or 700 neodyme? or other..

You should talk to Steven at Offshore Electrics about how many cells (nimh) to use and which propeller, etc.

I'm not much of an expert on brushed systems as everything I do is brushless. However, for a scale boat like you have, brushed is certainly the way to go, you can have 'reverse', and won't be so expensive.

All BS aside, a guy had a scale boat like yours out @ spreckles lake in San Francisco, Ca
last saturday and I swear the sucker was hittin' 37-40mph solid as a rock!!

Never seen anything like it, I mean this puppy was SLICING through the water so stable I was envyous..

BL and lipo make these little sub-surface cruisers light up in an exciting way. I wanted to ask him what he had under the hood, but I was intimidated by him and that amazing little Chris Craft

I'm completely out-done by the bimini top dude, now that's some SERIOUS modelling ingenuity as well as ingeneeering.
