View Full Version : ID size on a strut for 316 cablet?
I ordered a strut for a 3/16 (.187) cable from speedmaster. I thought the ID of the strut would be 1/4, but its 5/16. Is this correct or did they put the wrong strut in the package? :help:
Thanks
Kevin

It depends on which strut you ordered.
Item #VM3 - Large Round-bottom Strut for .187 cable
The stuffing tube would have to be 5/16 to slide into the strut, even with a teflon liner isn't that too big for a 3/16 cable? Also what bushing would have an OD of 5/16 and a ID of 3/16 ? My thinking is that it is a strut for 1/4 cable that was packaged wrong. Am I correct?
Thanks
Kevin
Got it figured out. Speedmaster sent me the wrong strut. They were very nice guys to work with. He is going to put the right one in the mail today and I should have it by monday. As soon as the hull comes in I'll be ready to start assembly
