look under cooling parts. there are silicone jackets there that should fit. they may not be "bling" but they should do just what you need till alum. are in stock. just a thought

I USED TO RUN THESE UNTIL I STARTED HITTING HIGHER SPEEDS ( MORE WATER PRESSURE) WITH TOO MUCH $$$ IN THE HULL TO TAKE THE CHANCE OF WATER LEAKING... IVE HAD LEAKS FROM THE SILICONE TYPE ON (TWO DIF. SILC. JACKETS) OCCATIONS I SOLVED THIS WITH A ( THERMOSTAT) I.E LITTLE TUBE TO SLOW THE WATER FLOW... AND HONESTLY IT WOULD LOOK JUST PLAIN OUTA PLACE IN THIS HULL.. BUT THANKYOU GUYS FOR YOUR RESPONSES!!!! :beerchug:

Yeah those silicone jackets are pretty much useless unless your boat goes under 35mph...after that "most" of them start leaking.

1515 jackets are back in stock now.

I've used silicon jackets on boats that run far faster than 35mph. The trick is to know how to use them. You just have to restrict the flow/pressure of water into the jacket. Still if there is a metal jacket available for the particular motor you are using, you are better off not having to fool with having to adjust inlet size.

Even with alum jackets building something with that much money in it I would still use the RTV sealer around it for extra assurance.

1515 jackets are back in stock now. on another note, how well does the loctite 603 work ? according to permatex it has a less psi strength.

RESTRICTING WORKS, BUT THEIR STILL CHEESY ..:tape: ILL ORDER TWO (alum.)RIGHT NOW!

STEVE, on another note, how well does the loctite 603 work FOR .187 FLEX DRIVES WITH THE 15 SERIES?? according to permatex it has a less psi strength. 603-2700 PSI/ PERMATEX-3000 PSI... BBUT IF YOUR LOCTITE STUFF WILL WORK ILL COMPLETE MY ORDER WITH A BOTTLE ALONG WITH THE COOLING CANS..

.187 flex needs to be silver soldered into a .187 prop shaft. It can not be glued.
