I would get the Castle link to program it and I wouldn't run the internal BEC on 4s.

It should be...I programmed my 125 without a problem. Plug it in and it should without a problem BUT I would not update it to the latest firmware if it askes you to do so. My bud had three Cuda's completely quit after updating them and they all worked great before the new firmware was installed.

If you already changed and its working fine then leave it on 1.04...there is more timing control and 1.03 had the timing values wrong.

timing values wrong? so what should i set it at if i want normal timing? i ask because the boat ran poorly today and im trying to iron out all possible issues. I ran it on 1P because i didnt have a harness made up yet but the timing can throw it off too

What motor are you running?
On 1.03 the timing is off and something like this
low=16*
normal=16*
High=10*
Extreme=16*
Or something like that anyway.
If you go to 1.04 then the timing will be the right values.

Here is the post by Joe Ford from Castle expaining the 1.03 firmware problem.

That link from Joe Ford states that is correct for the hydra controllers, the question is being asked for a barracuda controller.

It has nothing to do with the controller, its the firmware that is in the controller. IF he has 1.03 in the cuda or the Hydra the timing is wrong.

I have several B125 ESCs, all updated to the new 1.04 firmware, and all working perfectly. Once you update them, go completely back through the setup process and everything should work fine...
