Finally got around to work on my Viper
Old school Nmh & 700 Cordite just does not cut it with the BL/Lipo nowadays
Saw all these UL-1's on the scene at our club "HOTMBC" Thought I had a good platform to start my
UL-1 killer :cool2:

After some looking real close when stripping her down I noticed rudder might had been dragging. With straight edge to bottom of hull runs right into rudder where it shouldn't

Good decision to make the jump to brushless/lipo power. You will definately be surprised when you pull the trigger. I am in the process of building up the one in my avitar right now. Set up correctly these boats are very comfortable in the mid 50's. Don't forget to get some video.

HOLY SMOKES
Tracy
You were not kidding about the difference when pulling the trigger
I did not run to big a prop so went with a K42 & man !!!
when you say go it GOES
I am so glad things are going as good as they are. I was reluctant at first to play with the FE stuff but now I am soooo glad I did.
I can not wait to finish sharpening & ballancing some other props for this weekend
I must have tabled it very well because first run I could literally pin the throttle & just steer it around the course
Zero signs of anything bad
Temps after first race esc 103, batts 99 & motor 99
I think I can prop up don't u'al think ?

Get's a little loose at that speed doesn't it! Have fun, sounds like you already are.
All the best,
Ray

Actually it was not all that loose at all
I was really surprised that it ran very very smooth & tight no dancing at all
I will try to get someone to shoot vid this weekend
I am sooo hooked on FE
especially these smaller boats
pretty cheap for the speed you get

Are you running a turn fin? I don't see one in the pictures.
I find that mine doesn't run loose either, but I have to be very, very careful with the COG. Otherwise a blow-over is certainly in order.
