I just got x642 from OSE. I may have a chance to try it out on Saturday. Will let you know how it is in 2 blade upgraded prop. I had it going on SV prop and did not see big diference in performance. This one should get few miles improvement in speed. On all stock I was able to GPS 32.4 MPH.

I have pretty good experience with the Octura 440/3. Should give you some extra speed and you get it from here for $15 og just under $50 balanced and sharpened if you dont want to do that yourself :)

You can get it sharpened and balanced HERE (http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=octsb-x440%2F3) or not sharpened and balanced HERE (http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=88).

Yep, but I have not tried the X642 so I don't know if it is faster than that.

hello guys
I would try a Graupner 45mm prop, I got a 180A esc and stock motor 4s lipo, do you think I will gain speed with this prop?

I just recieved my balanced and sharpened X642 from offshoreelectrics along with a programming card, and the boat looks a lot faster im guessing another 4mph gain. (with some tweaks to the buisnes end of course).

How are you fitting std. 3/16" props on the 3mm shaft ????

I use a X642 de-tounged with good speeds, a 440 3 blade and a prather 215SS , they all seem to work pretty good but the 3 blade works best with my dual rudder setup.

Guys,

most if not all of you recommend the x642 prop. Some de-tongue and some don't specify. Can someone elaborate on why de-tonguing is a benefit and maybe how/how much to take off? Thanks!

(I can't seem to find anything on the de-tonguing methods in all the prop sharpening guides)
