Has anyone noticed this site? A-Z Racing?

Iv order around 3-4 Octura Props b&s for 46.00bucks shipped.

They seem to be a good company, they sent the props very quick, 3 day priority mail.

Im thinking about ordering the Hydro Mach1 hull and using a bada$$ brushless setup, somthing like Neu. How do you guys like these hydro's? Anyone have one?

Here's the site and boat pic's!

I talked a bunch with them. Pretty helpful folks. Really wanted the Mach hull but my I guess Namba considers that hull not legal.

have a problem with aqu, there great, but this guy did do a sweet looking
hydro, Im buying one for sure next week.

Well Iv been talking to this dude via email, he does seem really nice, I told him I wanted the other cowl with that huge induction swapped to the gforce hydro, and there adding it extra for free, so is he needing the money? hmm.:confused2:

Ohh well It still don't change my mind about the hydro hull..its still a badazz looking hydro, I really don't care as long as it gets sent to me. lol

I don't give two primates testicles about the politics and legalities surrounding this hull.
It is a very nice looker. Lose the big intake and she would be a real nice looker.

There are nearly enough photos there for me to........... :tape:
anyone got a bottom photo ??

Now do I go S, L, XL ? Hmmm decisions. :thumbup1:

Watch the videos of the RTRs. He flips them a time or two and shows a few good shots of the bottom. Take a look at the Gforce boat. It comes with a different cowl if the big intake isn't your thing.

teach,

I bought this boat RTR. Ill put a radio, and new motor and esc in this hull,
Im already thinking of just taking the Feigao 12l out of my SV27 and using it on 4s
with an x442 prop. Should see 49-50mph im almost sure!

Any plans on sealing the hatch?

I was thinking of trying a sub hatch type set up. Having to seal up the large intake would kind of be a shame. The looks (I know it's just looks) is just awsome IMHO.

The only thing I was kind of blown away about the A-Z folks is they don't really believe in making the hulls water proof.

Does anyone know if this hull would take this setup?

*Lehner 1940/9 Series (1742)
*Flight Power 5s1p Eon 33c 4550mah Lipo
*Hydra 240-
*Octura x442-445

Speeds? Maybe 60's?

Hey Guys,

I would have a really hard time justifying 170.00 bucks for a plastic boat. A H&M Spider or Twin wing cost around that much. The other boat they offer is an old Electric Thunder Design, I built one about 10 years ago.

You should run for president.:sarcasm1:

Your wrong, go look at the companies website. It clearly states the hull is made of plastic with fiberglass laid around the motor area to make it stronger.

http://shop.a-zracing.com/product.sc?categoryId=19&productId=85

Bottom line is it's vacuum formed plastic.

I don't know that there is room in this hull for that setup. When I was looking at the boat and some hardware installation pictures I didn't think even a 4s 4000mah/UL-1 motor/esc setup would fit in the hull. The A-Z boys normally use a high KV motor and 3s power for their setups and my impression is from the photos is they just barely wedge that into the hull.

When I get home tonight I will see about posting some of the hardware install photos.

I have one of these boats, and yes two 4s packs will slide to the front and leave just enough room for the esc to lay on the batts,

Ill post pic's if needed.

Im sad to say this... but this boat is a ripp off of proboat, and it sucks... I hate to flame, but this boat is garbage, when it came in, I was very unhappy.

The fiberglass work was crap, and the paint was rough, it had a clear cloat on the top of the hull but not the bottom, not to mention the stickers were cleared into the hull...

Ill not purchase another hull from them again.

Have you ran this boat yet? IT may run really nice. Sucks about the shoddy glass and paint.

I drove one of the FE prototypes for these boats and it was a ROCKET and handled great...

Just goes to show you that it doesn't matter how good the design and idea is... if you can't implement it with some quality, it's just not going to cut it...

Not legal for NAMBA as a Sport Hydro anyhow, so not really a big loss there, but too bad for the Sport Boaters that just wanted something cool...

Nope, I knew It was just a remold design of the Proboat's hydro, but it still looked like a pretty good boat on there site, but 309.00 for the RTR when it comes with ripp off cheap Hong kong motors, and the esc thats only good for 3s...ugh yea cheap.

Not to mention the water jacket that keep pulling out of the shrink around the esc...

Darin,

Yes I ran it 1 time before I started repainting the hull,

Yes it was pretty quick on 4s with the UL-1 ESC and the cheap 2234 motor it came with, Id say 39-40mph. I swapped the prop as well.

So the boat completly stock the way it comes RTR, maybe 38 ... maybe...

The dude said in the Email's that it would see 45mph on a 3s lipo. haha If your dreaming.

I just cant stand how they sprayed a clear coat over the stickers... and this stuff was thick too...
