Looks like a pretty nice boat!! I'm glad to see Proboat is getting away from their steerable outdrives!! Everything looks good! Only thing I'd probably change is the am radio.
Might have to order the strut and rudder for my shockwave 26!

Is that a new spec motor at 2900kv????

$17 for the rudder?
$9 strut and mount?

Their Hardware is definitely getting better. A 3 cell might do the trick.

I like it. I can't wait to see one @ the LHS, so I can see it in person.

That lil' gut looks like it handles a little bit of chop pretty darn good. Wonder if the esc's got a lvc.

The turn fins look like a problem, maybe angle them way in? Looks like a roll over at speed!

fins look ok to me...

Can anyone with a better eye tell me if you can see the bottom enough.
I want to know if this has the flat spot ride pad like the SW26 & Fastech?

Rumdog

$269.99?! seems a little steep to me!

Chilli

Doesnt look like there is a ride pad to me though the V appears to be shallow and the strakes run all the way to the transom.

I'd like to see some video of that boat running wide open on smooth water. Not to bash the product, but that video looked like my sons brushed subsurface Aquacraft Hammer running in the chop.

I don't know if the Nimh/Lipo switch is feature on other RTR's, but I think thats a great idea.

Be careful what you say, he may put twin jet drives in there. All you really have to do is say it can't be done.

Hey Diego? "It can't be done!" :tongue_smilie:  :glare:

I wonder if it's a stepped hull??? Looks like it from the side... Racing applications will be very limited, but I'm interested in the motor package and it's applications... ;)

Yes, it's stepped.

2900 Kv, inrunner, non-leaking water jacket.

Water pickup in the wedge rudder, good and solid hardware. I see the hardware package as a decent setup (good price, too) for a lot of mono hulls.

I really like the turn fin design now... much better than previous offerings.

Looks like this one is a true surface drive now as well. OH, and the completely sealed hatch is PERFECT! That's how they ALL should be done... subhatch that seals firmly, then a cowl that sets over it!

Would be legal for N2-Offshore in NAMBA... Hmmmmm.... ;)

2900kv motor $72.00!!! Better than BJ and FF stock motor $90.00 and more power. I wonder how would this motor perform on Formula Fastech? :-)

Very cool to see another rtr bl boat out there being sold to the masses, but the hatch has got to go. Everytime I look at it, it kinda makes me think of "Darth Vader".

It wouldn't; this one runs off of a 7.4V LiPo. The Fastech is designed to run off of
4s or 14.8V.

A 2900 Kv motor would turn in excess of 41,000 RPM on 14.8V and would not last long at all.

Any idea on the magnets? Has this been updated as well do you think? Anyone have the inside line for this info?

I think it's a misconception that more KV is going to be "more power"... If it were the same size and weight and number of poles as the BJ or FF or SV27, which I suspect it might be.... it would make the SIMILIAR power, just differently... More RPMS, less torque, but same overall output (watts)

I'll ask my contacts at Horizon and see if they can get me the motor specs so we can know how many poles it has.

It's cool to see some "spec" type motors that are designed around 2S power systems. Kind of wish the hull was a little bigger, and wasn't stepped... Make is 24-25" and non-stepped, and you'd have yourself a viable N2-Mono and N2-Offshore boat! ;)

As it is... it could still make a fun entry level and low cost spec class...

With the cool sealable sub-hatch, however... one could do all kinds of things to change the top hatch... don't have to worry about it sealing! Sounds like an aftermarket opportunity...

I hope the ESC limits the RPM on reverse, It has a flex cable, and if I'm not mistaken, Flex cables don't like to spin the wrong direction for long.
