Is not water PROOF, more like water resistant. I launched my Whip 20 off a buoy, split the nose open, and in came the water. The BEC still works but the motor just stutters, and I did try another motor, same thing. My Flightmax 30c 5s lipo just became a 4s Lipo, due to one of the tabs breaking off the cell. Good times.

Thanks for the info, I have two of the 120a turnigys! I wonder if a little silicone at the end of each shrink wrap ending would help that out a little?

It worked great on 5s with the Medusa 3670-1600. I think your idea is a good one.

How could i keep it from water damage? Or is it water proof?

be careful with silicone i used it once to seal both ends of a 6v nimh pack that i made ant it shorted the batt :flashfire:

It is supposed to be water proof. Maybe epoxy on the ends would be better. It was under water for 5 minutes:doh:

Invest in a can of CorrosionX and spray liberally. It is an excellent lubricant for bearings as well.
