Guys I am considering doing a few of these for resale. After I test mine here in the next couple weeks I will be sure. If I where to offer the tripple cooling mod on these esc's costs would be about 135 to 145 if I supply the esc. About 90 to 100 dollars if you ship me one.
Would any one be intrested?

Ok what is "triple cooling"?

So you'd be charging $100 just to add watercooling to an esc?

Yes About 100 bucks. The parts are expensive and it is very time consuming. My time is worth quite a bit these days. But I am willing to help some guys out.

No cooling plate between the boards and top fets?

Look at his first post!!

Kit as in not put together...DIY with all the materials supplied in a nice package deal.

Just thinking maybe you could expand your market to diy'ers and people who want it done for them.

The unit is upside down. The lower board does not have fets on it. The bottem of the center board does. That is directly air cooled. I am testing to tomorrow.

I have a single run on the first unit. I am upgrading to the KB8XL this week. Next uesday evening I hope to cycle 3 sets of pack through the boat. If all goes well I will do 5 of them.

is that a 25mm fan you are using, i am in the process of adding cooling to a hex 120 , going to water cool the bottom fets and add a fan, i removed the 14awg wire for 12 awg today

how has the esc performed so far?

SJFE

hey, SJFE, just wondering how much it would cost to just waterproof and watercool one of these esc's (no fan or heatsink?)

They can not be water proofed. Cooling one costs around 50 bucks. I water proof the hull. It's my only defence. I lose a hatch..I lose the works. It's the chance I take every time I put my boats in the water. That is why I don't take many chances driving with the cat. When I race it will be much diffrent.

If its water cooled can it be put in a waterproof box and wires run through a siliconed tight hole? not much air movement inside hull anyway right?

That would work fine.
