did a bit of work on my ac hammer ep during the off season. took it to the pond for its 'relaunch'...did about low 20's (bout what I figured it should) on the stock prop, motor came back at 86-87F, esc 99F. running a feigao 540 7l & an x-power 100a esc, had a bit of cavitation but otherwise it behaved itself ;).

I've had very good results with my Hammer after I converted it to surface drive. With the stock motor and ESC I managed 24mph.
Now with a no-name 3300kv brushless motor and 80A Turnigy ESC it is now one of my favorite boats - It averages runs in the mid 30's and I've GPS'd a peak speed of over 40mph.

Need to move your COG forward a bit according to the video.

:iagree: You can either adjust for COG or angle the strut down some more. From the photos it looks like changing the angle is not possible.
