Now put a 1521 in it and let's see how it can really go!!!!!!! It must have looked awesome, a boat that small, going that fast. Must have been something to see.

Mike you must have worked some magic to keep it on the water at that speed. Great job!!

I am amazed that you can keep a 25" boat on the water at those speeds, good Job!

Congratulations, that's amazing speed! Plus the fact you pulled it off without mishap! I'm sure that many of us would be happy with 2/3 that speed LOL.

I have a question that may seem silly, but I'm not a mono guy. How come these DF hulls are capable of more speed than, let's say for instance a H&M No Step 2?

Is there a difference in hull design that I'm missing? Angles? Balance?

Thanks

As a final thought, I can't see the prop you're using with your setup ;)

there were plenty of mishaps please don,t think it was a easy task just look at the hatch it had some overnight fiberglass repair but persistence payed off in the end

the df hulls have nice aero dynamics but so do alot of outher boats I don,t know if it couldn,t be done with with a H&M no step 2 with the right setup and balance

prop I think was a ABC 1818 I'll have to check my notes

This speed with a mono hull of that size is not easy to achieve. Very nice!

Thanks for reminding me; I have to bring my DF 33 P-Boat to the D 19 SAWS tomorrow; not to try to get close to those speeds; they like me to use the boat to chase the ducks away from the lights

I think that's the same boat you ran in Valdosta isn't it? That thing was rock solid every run. We were all absolutely amazed how well it was balanced. Nery nice work and congratulations!!!

First, congrats Mike.

I'm trying to understand this section of the NAMBA rule book.

P ... Power Limits: 10.1 to 15 Volts nominal, any chemistry.
Maximum of 2 packs in parallel. Maximum capacity of 10,000
mAh

Does that mean P class competitors typically run two 7.4V 5000MAH packs in series? Thanks. -Mick

Doug Smock

You could two 2s 10,000ma packs in series, or two 4s 5000ma packs in parallel.
Hope that helps.

what Doug said

in NAMBA you have a 10'000 ma max
IMPBA has no ma rule
