Drain on the battery?

Some guys install a switch that can be toggled from the transom to turn off the RX. My question on this is...
The battery is directly connected to the ESC, and this switch is not interrupting that connection, so dies the ESC still draw power from the battery (drain) even when the switch is OFF?

Does anyone use a switch to interrupt the battery? If so, which switch is beefy enough for that? I haven't been able to find one locally

Just use the aussie bullet disconnect.

Really depends what batteries you are running. Try looking for some that are rated for +200 Amps just to be sure.
