What motor would give me more speed in a miss vegas, on 4 or 6 cells, and that a hydra 120 would handle? I was thinking a 6xl to 8xl? I took out a 1515 1.5 y, it was just too fast for this hull, but now I want that same speed or faster, but in a cheaper motor! Please help!

Why not put the 1515 back in there?
I would use 4 cells just due to weight and room issues.

I pulled it out and would rather have a cheaper motor in here because this thing was out of control with that motor and I dont want to damage it. Would rather spend the money and buy another motor to stick in here. I just dont know which one compares to it. 6xl,7xl, or 8xl and which one can handle 6 cells and give me alot of speed!

Its out of controll because of your prop size. With a M545 prop and a 1521 1.5 d motor on 4s my Vegas would go consistant "stable" 50mph all day . Throw on 22 volts and it would go 60mph, if it stayed in the water, but was all over the place with wicked prop walk. Its really the boat itself though because it was not ment for those speeds. I transfered all my internals to a Bandit Larsony hull and get very stable 69mph runs with even the same prop that was on the Vegas with no more prop walk or violent antics.

I gots me an 8XL in my 1/12th Oberto and a cheepo turnigy 100A esc on 4S and a 640 prop - clocked it at a hair under 50mph. I don't think I would go much hotter on 4S, so if you go fewer volts you may want hotter, dunno, haven't gone that route, I like to get my watts with volts rather than amps.

none of your motor choices are adequate for 6s... it'd have to be a 13-14XL at least...
otherwise you would have a huge amp draw... with a 13-14XL you'd be able to swing a good prop and have a fast boat... if you get prop walk, just work the prop (sharpen really well, de-tongue, etc)... there is always a limit to each hull, I personally don't think that 50 is the Vegas' limit.:thumbup1:
