i am sure alot of you are familiar with the hull i speak of, well i got one and its to cool to not to go with twins, this will be a sport boat set up i think

budget build style, i found a couple of 60 amp hobbywing seaking esc,s on e-bay real cheap, so thats my limit the esc, i was goinig to get 2x 4s1p zippy 25c 4000mah batts

it looked like there was limitation on prop choice for clock wise props the carbon type i only found 40mm and 45mm that i could use i thought they made 42mm

so motors, to many combo to choose from heres what i was thinking
12/13l fegiao these are budget friendly & sv27
ul-1, sv27 , proboat motors
ammo

the goal was to 15 min of run time or more at 35 mph, can this be done with the info given

thanks guys any info would great

You will not get 15 minutes of run time with a 4000mah lipo per motor

Speed and run time is a see-saw. 1 goes up and the other side goes down.
I would be very interested to see any setup that can do 35mph for 15 mins.
A pair of L size motors on 4S is what I am keen to see in this hull.
I have done a lot of reading and a fair bit of maths and can see that 10L's would make this hull move out well.

I am keen to see input from the more experienced guys here particularly those who run twin cats.

I will do a twin-cat after this 4S rigger is up and running.

I'm watching :popcorn2:

the thing is i am so use to driving cars for 20 min at a time, then drive a boat for 6min takes a little of the fun out of it , maybe 15 min is a stretch at 35 mph but set up with 40mm props could i get decent run times in the 30's

Please do share the set-up you plan to do that with :glare:
I would suggest 2x 540 9L's on 3S 5000mah 25C each through a counter-rotating set of X442 props. Or 2x 540 8XL on 4S each through the same props would rip :rockon2:

:just-kidding:, the fastest i have gpsd my single motor cat was just over 60mph
if your after good run times i would look at maybe the blackjack motor/esc combo or sv27 motor/esc
that being said this may be more efficent than say a single 8xl setup
but i think to get long run times you would have to go somthing like a single 9-10xl and run 4s 2p
if your building this up from a bare hull add some more cloth or carbon fibre to the bottom of the hull as the sponsons crack rather easy in flip
