For the following classes assuming most everyone will be using a neu motor or possibly a china motor in some instances.

1. 32 inch mono

2. whiplash 20

3. 28 inch fe aeromarine cat

4. 46 inch offshore dv using a 2215 neu for sport only 10 or 12 c battery setup

Want to see if I have any of the needed ones in my present prop collection and what I would need to trade for or buy.

Help appreciated Curt

1. x447/3 cut down to 45mm
2. Same as above, if choppy m545

We simply cannot answer the question without more information Curt. What voltage for each boat? What motor size and wind in each boat? Racing or sport running? High speed or longer run time? Without that information we are wasting our time giving you prop recommendations because they may not apply to YOUR boats and setups. The x447/3 prop suggestion for the 32" mono would burn you down quickly if you were using an 9XL motor on 6S like some guys do...

Another example, which Neu 2215 motor will you be running on 10S...or will it be 12S? Make up your mind, it can make a huge difference, particularly if you want sport setups with long run time. Give us some help here guy, unless you want a list of 25 props......

Ok, I will try to give additional info on each boat setup.

1. 32 inch mono- medusa 36x80 1600kv on 4s2p and also on 5s1p both 5000mah. Rated as a 116amp motor by medusa

2. Whiplash 20- 43x65mm align outrunner. 1600watt/2000 watt kv rating of 1700 on 4s2p and also 5s1p both 5000mah

3. 28 inch Aeromarine fe cat- 36x60 aveox kv 1900 4s2p 5000mah
Also give me something on this cat with a 43x60 align outrunner 1500watt/1900watt kv rating of 1620.

4. Prather off shore 46 inch- 2215 neu kv 1050. 10s2p. 10000mah
This is a very light boat for its size. All epoxy.

Will this info work?

Curt, every 3/16 shaft prop Octura makes is a good start ;)

For (1) & (2) any 45-47 mm prop will be fine (Graupner, Octura, Prather) on 4s2p. On 5s1p start with 42-43mm and if everything is cool try a 45mm. The Graupner props http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=58
are very cheap and they give high speeds as well (i have noticed until now that when i put them the motor gives more rpm). So first try with the Graupners and when you are happy with the size that you want buy the equivalent Octura. Try also 1.6 and 1.5 pitch.
First try 45mm on 4s if everything cool go to 47mm if again temps are ok 48 and so on. Same for 5s1p first 42mm prop. and so on. Each boat has a different attidude there4 the prop. is found only by testing.
I have about 20 props.
I have tried the Align in my 36"mono on 5s with 45mm prop. and 6s with 43mm, it works very nice. But on 6s it gets very hot on the back side (180 deg). On 5s I had a small PC cooling fan on the back and worked nice but on 6s it burned, but since you think max 5s put a Pc cooling fan on the back side.

Disar,
If I put a cooling coil on the motor will that help enough to get to 6s on the motor?
Also, What are your impressions of the aligns as they relate to other motors? What size and brands would you compare the align 43x65 kv 1700 to?
The reason I ask this is to get some idea of the type of hulls I can use them in and power to compare to other brands. If I know that I can read other threads on motor/hull projects and possibly apply them to the aligns.

Also it apprears there is a pattern of as you go to higher cell count with the same motor you start smaller in diameter? Is that because of the heat issue/

What hull is this?...Is it a step design?

It is a Maus Bullet epoxy not a step hull.

I had a cooling coil on the Align but still top temp. was on the back side on the motor. Now I am making a cooling jacket from CF and also installed a thrust bearing. When I will test it (without cooling fan) I'll let you know. What I noticed is that with 5s I started with 43mm then 45mm and the motor temps were good (95 on top, 120 on back) with a cooling fan on the back and cooling coil.
Then I said let's try 6s and put back the 43mm prop. but the cooling fan burned. I run the boat and performance and speed were noticeably improved but temps were much higher (120 on top, 180 on back) after about 1.5 mins run. Now if this is because of the burnt fan or the higher load or both I don't know. I will test again with CF cooling jacket, thrust bearing with and without fan on 6s. I prefer the 6s because the boat goes faster but 5s is also good.
If you go 5s and want to reach the same speed as with 6s, you will have to use a much bigger prop. which means much more amps. For example, if on 6s with 43mm prop. you go 45 mph, to reach this speed on 5s you will need maybe 50mm prop. and the amps will be much higher than 6s with 43.
The performance was similar to KB45 8XL although not very sure because I did not compare the motors in detail, but the align is 250grams lighter.
One more thing is that the Align motor manual says it is a 6 pole outrunner motor but the shaft rotates very easily by hand like a 2 pole motor. The NEUs which are 4pole are far harder to rotate by hand. So is it really 6pole?

It is a 6 pole. Outrunners turn much easier than inrunners of the same pole count. If you get the cf cooling sleeve working I'd pay for one.
