I am fitting the TS2 I tore apart. I am trying decide what to do with the ESC and servo. I have several differnt ideas but one is sticking out at me but I sort of have a ??? I would like to mount the ESC on the wall of my radio box and the servo next to it. Problem is the ESC is taller then where the servo needs to sit to have a nice straight stearing arm. My question is... Has anyone ever glued the servo in standing up? I see some do it laying down. The glue or epoxy would be the only support and only on the bottom of the servo. Its a high tork servo. Anyone ever do it with success? If not I saw a mounting braket I may need to order, but it should work..

i never epoxy the servo alone with stand up pos before, but i did use stand up stand and epoxy the stand down the hull, the stand mount area is same size as servo under part so i think its will work just fine.

OK thanks but nevermind the question... I cant believe I had a servo tray or stand... should work perfect.

Been working on the TS2.. I know most of you guys already moved on but I like the boat. Mine does leak from somplace but I am gonna solve this. I cut the heck out of this thing lightened it by about 1 1/2 pounds. I would like to rip more but enough is enough. Wouldnt it be cool if I can have my packs on the outside laying in the outside hulls... that to me was to much work for now. Lowerd where the battery box would sit, cut half of the hump which is not needed to mount the electrics and the stearing is now trimmed and even. Now everything is roughed in I want to get some foam and fill in the whole hull around my new dropped down box. I wish I had a better idea for a lid. I will take a picture or two later. To me this is fun and hopefully I like the boat. next is foam, then a little glass. I wish I had some foam, well maybe tomarrrow someone said window foam, not regular make sure its window he said this should work good so I might try it. I got liquid coming but it will be a week. Dow would not give me any.. to bad for them.

Putting up a few pics. its only roughed in and I have a lot of little thing to think about little things like where to exit the water cooling and antena. about 1 1/2 pounds lighter with no cowl. SV27 powerplant.

Hi Joey, I think your CG is going to be a bit far back with the weight of the LiPos in the rear. I'm building one as well and have the LiPos up front and it balances perfectly!

I think going from my last set up which I hated this sould be much better. I like a loose boat. I think I measured the cg at about 7 1/2 but I can move it by 1 inch up or down. It will be a few weeks till I finish it to actually test it..hehe Either way I still like the boat. What I need is another outboard for my SV now Anyone got a lower end that will fit a elc motor cheap (-:

OK she is basically done. Need to rough in a box cover and she can go for a test run. If all works out I will finish her up. I used the bracket Propchopper gave me with no spacers or anyhting which made everything strong, the servo is high tork. The single arm steering seems to be more then enough but if not I can add one more pretty easy. Couple simple ways to mount the antena and exaust cooling water. I will test run the boat with the cowl and without the cowl. I hope she runs better without the cowl because I would rather make the battery box the cockpit and paint a winshild on it. Sort of a cat looking tunnel... Maybe the cowl deflects air or something so after I test it I will see. She weighs 5.8 with the cowl and 5.2 RTR with no cowl useing two 5000mAh Lipo batteries.

My 25 year streak is now broken... I finally blew up a speed control. I wont fault the ESC because I tore this poor ESC in and out of a few boats so I think the wires got weak near the case and one let go and PUFF my beutifull red tunnel was up in smoke...hehhehe I DID get ten or so laps in with the motor tucked under pretty good and she did real nice. I tore everything back out because the smoke smell had to go, reinstalled everything and put a new ESC and some silicone and she is ready again... maybe this week I can get a little vid if I like the boat. I have decided to run the boat without the nose/cowl. I just like it that way.

It was pretty funny watching the puff..... hehehe oh well it happens

well its hooking. tryed 3 differnt props at a few differnt trim levels. Hooks in the turns. even being careful going into the turn is tough, you get threw the middle and nail it and she exploads and get wild fast. Definatly real fast going straight. If I solve hooking she will be a hot rod.

On a system like that you must have a strong servo. Might have to drop your motor in a little and adjust CG.

Ok the spinning out or hooking whatever were calling it seems to be fixed. I tryed the 4 blade prop i had and got her ready for a run. I forgot my allen so I drove the boat for 7 1/2 min very loose. Now we are talking, the boat is Rocket quick out of the corners and goes into the corner pretty good to. I really need to trim the motor down a little but I had a blast driving it like this. I was going for 8 min but... the servo tray pulled from the box.. guess the glue didnt cut it, no big deal I will drive a few screws in and adj the trim and give her another run. All running with no cowl.
