Hi there!

Checking every thing out on my new Sonic wake V2. All seems ok but;

I find that the strut gets very hot (50celcius) in just a few seconds if i run it (at low to medium speeds) here on my desk.

Heat is generated in the strut for shure because the coupler side is cold.

The flexshaft is lubed up, and seems aligned with the coupler.

I tested with the flexshaft pushed in further, and the other way around,.. seems to have no effect.

Is this normal? Any tips?

I don't want my flexshaft to brake on my first testrun :ThumbsDown01:

Also, when i throttle the boat gets very loud, there's inconsistent resontation going in... related?

First, never run the boat out if the water other than to blip it confirming function and direction. It is designed to run wet for cooling, and nothing good comes from running it dry. The water also dampens the sound. Lube the shaft and run the boat in water, and have fun!

In addition to Fluid's recommendations, make sure there's a gap between the strut and the drivedog on the flex cable of 3-4mm.
