what are your thoughts on the proboat fastech brushless is it a good buy and is there room to inprove the top speed and handeling:confused1:

I talked Dad into this boat, being a scale guy this was his first step into FE. His previous ElectroVee was ok, but he saw one of my hydros go ripping and he was bitten. So, he got this and was underwhelmed until I got him a bigger prop (X445) and talked him into the 4500 mah nimhs. Now it is in the low 30s.

It has some handling issues: it needs bigger rudder or right turn fin because it hops around the right turns. Since he is two states away, it is tough for me to evaluate, but watching him and driving it some myself, I think these are two simple upgrades that may help.

I don't think it would handle too well above 40mph. That is why I just talked him into a DF 29. So if you are new to FE, into scale and this is a first-ish boat, then it is good. You may not want to try expand it too much, with that modified V and narrow hull, it probably shouldn't go super fast.

As for value, yes good value in my opinion, I have several of those motor/esc sets in other boats, good stuff. You will need to tweak some as with any RTR. See some vids of dad's here:
