Sorry, My Bad :sorry:

Our clubs 4S Hydro's rules are a Sport Hydro hull, 4S and any motor (AMPBA class)

Sorry for any confusion

So your saying that a PTSS21 is too small to be running a 1515 on 4S in Open hydro ?

Open hydro here in the USA are "Open",,, Most are running 10S lipos and gasser type hulls 40-45" long...

The SS21 is GREAT for 4S with 1515! It will scream for sure...

Same Same but different  we just run 4s as open sport hydro, which is EA sport hydro under the AMPBA rules, if you want to get technical

Looking good jimmy, you going to have it together and tested by next sunday??

Bring on that Whiplasher!!! Should be a good boat Jimmy, good to see another hydro out there (soon).

Regarding the Open Hydro bit - that's what we used to call the class when we only ran 4S or 12 cells - but different motors for different classes. It should really be called EA Sport Hydro this year.

Is there a gap between the center tub and the hull bottom?

If so, you'll probably want to fill it with something...

Coming along well, it has since had a coat of high build and another round of "bogging"

Off to hobbyrama on Saturday to pick up an extra long piece of brass tube, no one else has it in stock. :ThumbsDown01:

Thats the one thing I hate about these hulls, the time you have to spend on painting them. I wish Phill would gel coat them and save us all the trouble. I have started on the 45 version and its a massive job. I dont think the extra weight in the paint is a problem, my 21 ended up with 5 coats of paint all up.

Im about 45 minutes away from Decatur.

Ok So alot has been coming in latley. Iv order a Speedmaster.21Strut/ and Mini Hydro Rudder,
.187-3/16 shaft flex, Octura Coupler.187/ 8mm shaft for Neu motor, 9/32" brass tubing which
was way to short..it comes 12in as we all know and Iv decided for the PTSS21 Ill need atleast 1/1/2ft length..so I re-ordered from Amozon for a 36in length tubing.

Then I bought some Carbon fiber sheets for the inside of the hull kinnda what Raydee did on his SS45..It looks clean and gives the hull that extra strenght its going to need for my Killer setup =) You can go to: http://www.dragonplate.com/ they have some good stuff to build with check them out!

So the setup Iv decided to go with is pretty killer for this Hull and probably gunna be a sight to see...

Im using a Neu 1Y 1250Kv on Flight Power EON33 and Im going with 6s2p with a Hydr240hv...I guess ill start with an x450 prop and work on up checking temps as I go.

Any suggestions please let me know.

Hey Nate,

Sounds great, thanks also for that link to Dragonplate.com. I've never heard of them before, they have some awesome products.

That carbon will look sweet.

I have had quite a problem finding the correct length brass tube, onto it now though.

What turn fin U got there ?

Thanks

nate
04-11-2009, 12:06 PM
Just type in 9/32"/36 brass tubing. I just got a 3ft stick from Amazon.com for $12.34..not that bad but this boat is gunna be a tricky setup...I kinnda like were the tubing runs out the hull from the front though.

Can you post some pics of the inside and bottom Jimmy? Mines not in yet.
